What are the secrets of a successful IEO? How to choose the right exchange to get listed on? What are the future trends for fundraising in the crypto market? We discuss all this and more in our blitz interview with Sharp Ye, an experienced listing consultant.

Hi! You are a prominent blockchain consultant and listing advisor. Please tell our readers more about your role. What are the challenges that you face and the problems that you help to solve?

My job is mainly to give the project side some technical support as well as help with fundraising, community construction and operation, and listing/IEO consultation.

Many exchanges on the market nowadays do not provide real IEO data and real user data. I think an important part of my job is to help clients identify and avoid these exchanges.

What are the projects that you are currently involved in?

I have several projects, but they are not very famous. I help them to contact token funds and find capital. Podminers, Youtopin are very promising.

IEO has already become a major trend within the crypto markets. Do you think it will become the new dominant funding model?

I think so. Almost all projects are chasing IEO. Compared with ICO, it has many advantages.

Cryptocurrency prices have seen a resurgence in 2019. Do you think rising asset prices could fuel an IEO boom, similar to what happened in the ICO market in 2017?

Cryptocurrency really ushered in a growth period in 2019, but I think the main driving factor is not exactly what IEO brings.

You are the expert when it comes to helping companies get listed at the crypto exchange in preparation for the IEO. What are the main mistakes and pitfalls to avoid during this process?

Almost every exchange is now conducting IEOs, but the results are not always the same. What needs to be noted is how to identify the surface data and get the real fundraising amount to avoid being misled by them.

What are the factors that distinguish a successful IEO? How can a project ensure it gets listed at one of the leading crypto exchanges?

To get a successful IEO, you need to have many factors, such as the quality of the project itself, the background of the team, the adequacy of funds, the reasonable construction and operation of the community, and the selection of quality exchanges for IEO.

It is important to note that many large exchanges provide good development opportunities for quality projects.

What do you think of Binance Launchpad relaunch so far? How will it affect the IEO market ecosystem in the long-run?

Very successful. When talking about the rise of cryptocurrencies at the beginning of the year, a large part of the credit should be attributed to Binance, their successful IEO has revitalized this market.

What other exchanges would you name as the leading players in the IEO space?

I would name Huobi, OKex, Kucoin, MXC, and Gate.io among a number of other platforms.

What happened to STO? Security tokens have been the talk of the town for more than a year already, but it seems like the STO market still doesn’t have enough liquidity. Do you expect this funding model to compete with IEO in the foreseeable future?

I think STO is still very promising. Although the progress is slow, it will be the direction of this industry in the future.

How do you choose the projects that you work with? Which factors do you take into consideration when assessing each project’s potential?

At this stage, the best way to select a project is simply to look at the quality of the project itself and see if I can help them in any way.

What is your market outlook in general? Where do you expect we will be in terms of Bitcoin price by the end of 2019?

In fact, this year is very important for cryptocurrencies. The most important factor is the change in regulatory policies — the governments and central banks of various countries are very concerned, and some new laws or regulations regarding cryptocurrencies have been issued. In general, the prospects are broad, but there is still a long way to go. Personally, I think the price of BTC may reach $15,000 by the end of the year.

Thank you for your time!
