The benefit of dual study.

Who hasn’t known that feeling when you’ve just come out of university, having spent years studying and think that the perfect world of work can start right away?

Only to then find out that everything is different than in theory and that your field of activity does not meet your expectations.

At least that’s how I felt, despite several internships. The solution for me was to step back again, but this time with a dual degree.

The difference and advantage to normal studies is obvious: work and learn at the same time in a company and thus the chance of quick implementation of what has been learned in practice — or at least an insight into a future field of work.

Depending on the study model, the working hours may vary. For me it’s 20 hours from Monday to Wednesday and then lectures on Thursday and Friday. During the semester break I work 40 hours a week.

I came to Ziegert via an announcement by Group Technology and after consultation, the concept of a dual study student who is trained for three years was positively received.

The advantages of being able to train someone exactly according to your ideas, as well as the constant improvement through the lectures, can certainly make an employee very valuable for the future.

For me, too, Ziegert is a very good practice partner.

In particular, the opportunities offered to be able to work flexibly and yet always have the right contact person available for me are an extremely positive aspect for my future.

A dual course of study will never be the optimal solution for everyone, and the advantages to studying normally are well documented, but at least one should consider if a dual study option could be right for you!
