How to add contract-swapped ZIG to Metamask (ERC20 Network)

Hello Ziggys,

In light of the recent Ascendex hack where 22,000,000+ ZIG coins were transferred out of the AscendEX Hot wallet — the Zignaly team has successfully swapped the ERC20 Token contract for the ZIG coin in an effort to eliminate the threat of the Hacker dumping these coins on an Exchange. For those of you who are holding ZIG on Metamask (ERC20 Network) — we’ll be sharing a step-by-step guide on how to do so. Please note that the Token contract address has changed permanently, which is now:

0xb2617246d0c6c0087f18703d576831899ca94f01

To add the updated ZIG coin, first, we need to remove the affected one. To do so:

Step 1: Open the metamask browser extension, and tap on ‘ZIG’ from the ‘Assets’ list — make sure you’re on the ‘Ethereum mainnet’.

Step 2: From the Three dots icon on the top right side, tap ‘Hide ZIG’, and tap ‘Hide’ on the pop-up confirmation window. At this point, the affected ZIG coin will be removed from your wallet.

Step 3: To add the swapped ZIG coin to the assets list, tap ‘Import tokens’ > ‘Custom Token’ and enter the following details:

Contract address: 0xb2617246d0c6c0087f18703d576831899ca94f01

Token Symbol: ZIG

Token Decimal: 18

[Please note that entering the correct contract address should result in Token Symbol and Decimal fields to fill in automatically.]

Once done importing the new token, you should be able to see it in the asset list. That’s it, you have your swapped ZIG coin in your ERC20 wallet now. 😃
