What is the purpose of your conference?

The conference will be the largest meeting in the MENA and Eurasia region on behalf of the world of blockchain and cryptocurrency, with a wide range of topics focused on the financial technologies of the future, extensive networking opportunities and participation from more than 60 countries. As you know, 63% of Turkey’s population is keen on the idea of their banks offering accounts in cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, also Turkey is the most crypto owning country in the World. So, we aim to expand the ecosystem in Turkey and gather all cryptocurrency communities in Istanbul, make Turkey the largest meeting country of Eurasia and MENA.

Who are you trying to attract to the conference?

Investors, entrepreneurs, blockchain developers — everybody who is into cryptocurrencies, blockchain technologies, FinTech, and decentralization.

Can you name a few of the featured speakers?

The world-famous crypto entrepreneur, John McAfee, Wall Street analyst, Tom Lee, the CoinPayments.net CEO, Alex Alexandrov and Blockchain.com co-founder, Nicolas Cary, will be the keynote speakers. And many other influential names of the cryptocurrency community will be added in the upcoming process.

Can you tell us about the program?

The main topics of the Blockchain Economy 2020 conference will include Blockchain technology and cryptocurrency, as well as Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Decentralized Technologies, IoT and Global Citizenship/Citizenship by Investment. Besides, Blockchain Economy 2020 will be the first and unique host of the Citizenship Expo on a bridge between East and West. We support dual citizenship, global citizenship and host worldwide citizenship offering governments, companies, and entities for the first time in Istanbul!

Are there any side events?

Yes, VIP Networking will be offered with special events at the conference which will last for 2 days and a special closing party will be held at the end as well. Sponsor companies, institutional investors, projects, entrepreneurs/professionals and participants will be brought together in a more sharing environment. In addition, workshops will take place as a surprise of the second conference and 3 start-ups will be graded in the competition, BECOMP. Furthermore, participants will also be able to tour Istanbul on the special Bitcoin Bus and see the most beautiful locations of the city.

Anything else you want to share with the reader?

We want to point out that cryptocurrencies have a big future in Turkey as Turkey is the first country in the world to own cryptocurrencies. Recently, the Turkish Government announced plans to establish a national blockchain infrastructure. Furthermore, we observed a significant impact of our previous conference in the region after the event, so we will continue our efforts to expand the ecosystem and remain as an influential part of this environment.
