Following our product pivot at the back end of 2019, we have embarked on an aggressive development journey to realise the new product vision centered less on streaming and focussed more on artist evenue generation and fan engagement.
This vision continues to align to the mission of Zimrii; to empower musicians and other creative artists to realise the vision, develop and sustain rewarding careers and provide a platform where all stakeholders in the music ecosystem benefit through collaboration and transparency
Although the application of streaming as a use case within Blockchain technology has merit, it presents challenges in terms of the extent of competing with much larger global music streaming companies in attracting music fans.
Just as important, in terms of pain points for music artist is the capability to efficiently develop alternative streams of revenue, as well as create better fan engagement experience to drive more music followers to their craft and brand
Thats not to say that Zimrii won’t consider music streaming in its product roadmap in the medium term future
What has been delivered

Social Messaging
Key for artists and fan to create connections is the ability for artists to keep their fans updated on whats happening with their music, their band, concerts and other info that fans would like know. Music artist can easily and efficiently create an ongoing dialogue with their fans
Rewards
This focus area creates the environment for music artists to attract fans by incentivising them through the creation of unique, interesting, quirky items made available in the platform. By developing a ‘membership based’ fan club to allows exclusive for fans to access these rewards
Engagement Mechanism
This focus area follows closely on the implementation of the Rewards Feature (above). The impact of tokenisation enables the establishment of new digital business models for artists, designed to improve their financial strength in the music value chain. Tokenisation confers benefits to both the music fan and artist; for artists in enabling new revenue streams to be established and for fans; an introduction into the world of crypto ecommerce enabling exclusive fandom benefits
Focus for the next Quarter
Our focus for the upcoming quarter is on more ‘backend’ integration development, of less concern for our users, but essential for the overall stability and experience of the platform. These include:

- Payment mechanisms
- API development
