BIG NEWS: Zingword welcomes translation clients with ZingChat!

Zingword grants full access to both freelance translators and translation clients.

A project channel in ZingChat.

The octopus is out of the bag, and it’s bringing professional translation services to a whole new level! Translation clients can now use Zingword to match with the right translators for their needs, invite them to their project and collaborate with them, all in one place.

Freelance translators can invite current clients to join Zingword and have all of their work in one platform — complete with an attractive profile that gets their prospect clients excited about their expertise.

And, all of our users can now access ZingChat, our multi-purpose, unified communications and collaboration system.

With the release of ZingChat, we are giving all of our users FULL ACCESS to our platform:

  • We’ve eliminated invitations — freelance translators and clients can now sign up directly on Zingword
  • Translators are being validated — once a translator has published their profile, we evaluate and verify their information. This helps us keep Zingword professional, and is part of our broader commitment to trust and safety.
  • Clients can match and collaborate with translators — clients were already using Zingword’s search, but they can now contact translators directly and manage their projects in the same place!

How to use ZingChat

For clients:

  1. Create your Zingword account.

2. Search for translators you’d like to collaborate with, using our useful brief filters. You can filter by subject matter, required CAT tools, and more.

3. Send them a project invitation — this will automatically create a translation project channel in ZingChat that connects you to your translation team.

4. Request a channel for your LSP, agency or company to conduct internal communications or keep in touch with the freelance translators in your base.

For translators:

  1. Create your Zingword account and fill out your profile. Use our guide to get the best results.
  2. Invite your current clients to join Zingword and share your profile link! A chat is much more fast-paced than emails, and your profile link includes your name, which is great for SEO!
  3. Once a client has invited you to their project channel, you will receive an email. Simply confirm you’re interested and start negotiating with your new client!
  4. Request a Translator Club to connect with fellow translators, share resources and CPD opportunities, and more!

We’ve come a long way since the Zingword idea first sparked. Thank you for supporting us — now it’s time for us to support you in your translation endeavors, and bring online translation collaborations into the world of agility, reliability and innovation.

We have a lot more in store for 2022, so make sure you’re subscribed to our updates, and feel free to reach out to us with your questions and feedback:
