Neighborways in Indianapolis Funded by Scooter-Sharing!
It’s great to see electric scooters being widely used and supporting the development of new infrastructure to make cycling and all forms of micromobility safer.
Indianapolis charges a fee to scooter operators and directs the income to dedicated bike/scooter paths to make the roads safer for everyone. The fee is around US$1/day per scooter. In less than a year $450,000 has been raised.
