Here’s to the crazy ones — join us building the new blockchain era of smartphones
Zipper is turning smartphones into full-blown blockchain powerhouses. We invite the cryptocurrency and mobile community members to join this program which aims to build the phone for the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world.
It’s been 10 years since Apple introduced iPhone in 2007, the phone which changed everything and really kick-started the mobile internet economy. We at Zipper think that it’s been too long since anything really exciting and world changing has entered this market. That’s why we decided to build Zipper platform and to bring the magic and the power of blockchain to smartphones. We believe that blockchain and tokens can turn smartphones into reward engines, guarding our privacy and distributing value of the ecosystem to the users and developers.
We will start by building an easy and safe way to manage cryptocurrency users’ identity and private keys on smartphones in a decentralised way. From there, we will take Zipper into a full-blown blockchain powerhouse, a platform powered by decentralized apps which is open for everyone. As the first step, community will get the Zipper solution with Sony Xperia X devices in collaboration with Jolla in Q1 2018.
We know how to do this. We are mobile industry veterans with open source, mobile OS and business experience, but we need you to join our community, to be our voice, to contribute to our code, bring apps to our platform and most importantly be our early users. You can also contribute by participating to the ZIP token limited pre-sale which opened today.

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The trouble-makers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules, and they have no respect for the status-quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify, or vilify them. But the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do. — Apple
