This month we were very happy to have our team meeting in Poland

Another month has flown by here at Zippie HQ and we’re very happy to report that it’s been a busy, busy month for everyone. So, without further ado, let’s give you the low down on what we’ve been up to.

Product news

We’re very happy to announce that we completed the Alpha 4 release where we’ve supported adding a card, confirming a payment with the card and recovery using the card. Last week, we also shipped the first Zippie cards. The initial batch was sent to Alpha testers and those community members who ordered first. We’ll continue shipping this week. In regards to our product focus now, we’re continuing to work on developing the cards’ features, such as revoking a card. For a more detailed look at at what we’ve achieved check out our monthly product update.

Marketing news

On the marketing front, we’ve continued our work around the new brand. We’re happy to announce that the new brand look for the product UI has been defined and, we think, looks really good. In addition to this, website development is well underway, along with the creation of all the other necessary branded materials. We’re confident the new brand, including the website, will be ready to launch this month.

A quick glimpse of our beautiful new UI

As product development is going so well, we’re now ready to start marketing our initial solutions, like the “Login with Zippie” button. You’ll hear more about about this at the end of October as we prepare to showcase it to projects at DevCon in Prague. What’s more, we’ve been busy working on our platform go-to-market strategy. This has involved our team traveling far and wide to talk with potential partners, who’ve all been very excited about our vision.

Finally, on the marketing front, our collaboration with Blacture is blossoming and we’re working to co-brand their product in a way that fits their image and brings Zippie to the forefront as the technological enabler. Once finalised, it will position Blacture and Zippie as the creators of some of the most innovative mass-market focused products in the blockchain space. With this in mind, we were pleased to see Blacture gain some well-deserved press coverage speaking at MWC LA.

The Zippie-powered M1 is the USA’s first blockchain-based smartphone.

Partnerships news

Our partnership team has spent a busy month travelling in order to develop new local partnerships and grow Zippie’s presence globally. Currently, we’re negotiating with local partners both in South America and Africa to build a local market presence. Combined this means we’ll have numerous local partners in multiple countries. The rationale behind this strategy is that we believe having a local presence enables us to better understand the needs of each individual market.

Team news

While we haven’t any new recruits this month, we are still keen to recruit an enthusiastic and talented backend developer. In this unique role, you’ll develop APIs for developers and services to tap into to utilize the Zippie platform. This will also involve working on backend and test implementation for services. Ideally, you have experience in server-side API, npm, nodejs, AWS, and Web3 and Solidity.

If this sounds like a job for you, ping us at hello@zippie.org or let one of our admins at our Telegram know you’re interested.

That’s it for now. As you can see it’s been a busy month, with lots of progress on all fronts. If you can’t wait until the next update you can follow our progress and join our community on Twitter, Reddit and YouTube. Look forward to seeing you there!
