New Air India’s Customer Experience
🚀 Prepare to be amazed: ✈️ This is a story of the extraordinary customer experience on Air India Limited’s latest flights.
I recently took a late night Air India flight from Dubai to Hyderabad, and made it just in time for the boarding at Dubai Airport.
We were running late in the city and naturally we couldn’t grab a bite.
So, as soon as we boarded the flight, my wife enquired the cabin crew, Subhamoy, what was there for dinner.
To her surprise, he replied that Air India stopped serving dinner on the late night flights and only had snacks to serve.
Then looking at the disappointment in our hungry faces, he asked us if we were okay to have the dinner served from the previous flight an hour before.
We were okay with that, so confirmed the same, and got settled in our seats.
Normally in the old Air India, or any other flight, they’d leave the matter at that.
This is when something interesting happened. As soon as the flight reached the runway, he handed us a bag full of snacks, chips, cookies, and drinks and told us to be patient till the flight takes off.
We had those in a matter of minutes and became cozy in our seats to sleep.
As soon as the flight reached the cruising altitude, without wasting any time, he brought us each a double dinner — the full 5 course meal along with some more snacks from the current flight.
All this, without being prompted again. We were so so full that we couldn’t finish it all.
He didn’t leave it at that. He came back 4 times to check on us if our hunger was satisfied, or if we wanted anything else.
I never expected this kind of an experience in any flight, let alone Air India, and we both were really surprised and happy for what just happened.
This is the kind of experience that instils #customerloyalty and takes companies to new heights.
