2-Month Recap: February & March 2025

Today, we’re excited to share our latest updates! The past 2 months have been nothing short of exhilarating as we’ve made significant progress in our token initiatives on Mina. This period has been dedicated to the launch of our Frog and Dragon meme tokens, alongside the unveiling of the exclusive ZkNoid NFT collection, complete with our very own marketplace.

In this article, we’ll discuss all the developments that have taken place recently, highlight key achievements, and outline our ambitious plans for the upcoming months.

Meme token Event

At the beginning of March, we teamed up with MinaTokens to launch two meme tokens on Mina: Frozen Frogs and Fire Dragons. This launch was not just about introducing new tokens, it was accompanied by a 2-week community event that allowed participants to rally behind their favorite token to settle a long-lasting climate debate. Players could contribute to their chosen team for a chance to win fantastic rewards, with prizes awaiting both the winning team and top contributors.

Additionally, on each day during the event ZkNoid hosted mini quests and competitions with prizes in the two meme tokens, MINA, and pre-paid tickets for our Lottery L1 game.

The event was a blast, with nearly 5M tokens purchased. The competition was fierce, but in the end, Fire Dragons emerged victorious, claiming 53% of the total supply and solidifying their status as the champions of the meme token showdown.

Updates to Lottery L1

In response to feedback from our community, we have made several enhancements to the Lottery L1 game, all designed to boost player participation and increase the bank size for each round.

• ZkNoid-Sponsored Default Bank: We’ve introduced a new feature where ZkNoid sponsors a default bank by purchasing a set number of tickets with random numbers each day. Importantly, all winnings generated from these protocol-purchased tickets are reinvested back into future Lottery banks.
• Extended Round Durations: Starting March 31st, we’ve lengthened the duration of each round to a full 7 days. This change is aimed at accommodating more players and significantly increasing the potential bank size.

We believe these updates will enhance the overall experience and look forward to more feedback!

Development

Over the past two months, our team has been hard at work, focusing on the rollout of meme tokens and gearing up for the highly anticipated launch of our NFT marketplace. In addition, we’ve implemented several important updates to enhance the Lottery L1 game experience.

Here’s an overview of what has been done:

Contracts & Backend Improvements

• Default Bank Functionality: We’ve integrated a default bank feature to boost lottery bank sizes.
• Event Consistency Fixes: Addressed inconsistencies in event logging to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
• Dynamic Round Updates: Implemented dynamic updates for deployed rounds, allowing for real-time adjustments and better management.
• 1-Week Lottery Contract Updates: Updated our contracts to support the new one-week lottery format.
• Server Integration for Meme Tokens: Established a dedicated server for meme tokens, along with seamless integration of the MinaTokens API.

UI/UX Design

• Meme Contest Block on Website: Introduced a dedicated section for the meme token event.
• Meme Tokens Illustrations: Created illustrations for our meme tokens: Frozen Frog and Fire Dragon.
• NFT Marketplace Pages: Developed pages for our NFT marketplace, including:

1. A main page showcasing all collections
2. Individual collection pages
3. NFT traits pages
4. A NFT purchase popup

• Personal Account Pages: Enhanced user accounts to include:

1. Transaction history
2. Account statistics
3. Lottery L1 ticket management
4. NFT collections overview

• Mobile-Friendly NFT UI: Optimized the NFT interface for mobile devices.
• NFT Details Page: Created a detailed view for each NFT.
• Profile UI Improvements: Revamped profile interfaces to enhance user interaction and navigation.
• Profile Stats Routes: Implemented routes for easy access to user statistics and performance metrics.

Educational articles

During the last 2 months, we published 3 articles in the ZkNoid blog:

• Custom Tokens on Mina. The first article in a new series devoted to tokens on Mina diving into custom token and the Mina Token Standard.
• ZkNoid Meme token contest: The Ultimate Showdown of Climate Preferences with all the details about the meme token event and meme token mechanics on Mina.
• Tokens on Mina: MinaTokens Launchpad. The second article in the series on Mina tokens diving into the MinaTokens launchpad explaining how to create Regular Tokens and Memetokens effortlessly.

What’s next?

As we look to the future, our primary focus will be on the imminent launch of the ZkNoid NFT marketplace and our collection. All preparations and development work have been completed! Currently, we are entering the internal testing phase, which is expected to last approximately 1–2 weeks. We are eager to bring this exciting platform to life, so stay tuned for updates!

Following the NFT marketplace launch, we have ambitious plans for a new multiplayer strategy game set in a fantasy setting. This game aims to blend a web2-like user experience with the robust security and transparency of web3 technology. We are working to deliver a demo version in the coming months and can’t wait to share some exclusive previews with you soon!
