We’re thrilled to announce the launch of our latest community event, prepared in collaboration with MinaTokens and celebrating the launch of two meme tokens on Mina: Frozen Frogs and Fire Dragons. This event will run for 2 weeks, from March 3rd to March 14th. In this article, we will outline all the details of this event, starting from a short background on meme tokens on Mina to all specific details on the event and the prizes we have prepared for participants.

The Great Climate Battle: Cold vs. Hot

In the world of zkSnakes, to subgroups live side-by-side. One thrives in the frigid embrace of the cold, enjoying every fresh breath of cold air and finding comfort in their icy surroundings. Meanwhile, the other subgroup seeks warmth and comfort, shunning the chill in favor of cozy retreats in soothing heat. For these snakes, snuggling under a thick blanket simply won’t suffice, they need the warmth that follows them wherever they slither.

Some speculate that this divergence in preference may stem from their ancestral lineage — perhaps some zkSnakes are descendants of Frozen Frogs, while others trace their roots back to fierce Fire Dragons.

Now, these two factions coexist, debating over which climate reigns supreme and which one is truly unnatural for their kind. In this contest, we aim to settle this age-old dispute once and for all!

Cold vs. Hot Meme Token Contest

This event invites participants to choose their side in the debate over the preferred climate by minting their chosen meme token on Mina. As you contribute to your team, you can track the contest’s progress through the ZkNoid zkApp, which provides real-time updates on token distribution and the top contributors for each side.

What sets these meme tokens apart is their innovative algorithmic pricing model. The cost of minting will increase linearly as the total supply of tokens rises. The initial minting price for both tokens is set at 36 MINA for 100,000 tokens, with each subsequent 100,000 tokens causing the price to rise by an additional 1 MINA.

At any time, participants can sell their tokens at the Bonding Curve Redeem Price.

Note: The ZkNoid team will conduct a pre-mint of 3,500,000 of each meme token to stabilize the slippage at the beginning of the event and generate funds for prizes awarded to community participants. A portion of this pre-mint will be sold, with a maximum cap of 2,250 MINA, while any unsold tokens will be burned at the conclusion of the event.

Event Rewards

For the winning team

At the end of the event, 10 random participants from the winning team will be chosen based on their acquired meme tokens. Each of them will receive 30 MINA and 2 pre-paid tickets for the ZkNoid Lottery L1 game.

For Top token holders of each team

Gold (1 participant in each team): Will receive Golden NFT, 100 $MINA, 10 Gift codes for the Lottery L1 game

Silver (2 participant in each team): Will receive Silver NFT, 50 $MINA, 5 Gift codes for the Lottery L1 game

Bronze (2 participant in each team): Will receive Bronze NFT, 30 $MINA, 3 Gift codes for the Lottery L1 game

Event schedule

Additionally, on each day during the event ZkNoid will host mini quests and competitions with prizes in the two meme tokens, MINA, and gift access codes for our Lottery L1 game.

How to participate

1. Go the the ZkNoid App and connect you wallet.

2. Scroll down to the Meme token competition section and choose your team.

3. Press the buy button on the token of your choice. (You can press the MinaTokens icon on the top-right to view the token on minatokens.com)

4. Enter the number of tokens you wish to buy and press “Mint”. Note, that the Mina Blockchain will burn 1 MINA from your wallet during your first meme token mint.

5. Wait for the transaction to generate and sign in your wallet.

Attention: Check the status of your transactions because that your transaction might fail if another participant mints tokens at a lower overall price in the same block!
