We are happy to announce working together with Fraunhofer IPK on building an automated billing solution for CNC machines. This project is funded by the I4KMU program by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research which is aimed at mobilizing SMEs for Industry 4.0 (funding code: 01IS20067).

As part of the project, ZkSystems’ blockchain-based application is being integrated to validate the usage data of a milling process on the DLT, storing it on a distributed ledger and using it for tamper-proof automated invoicing among multiple parties.

The Fraunhofer Institute for Production Systems and Design Technology IPK is one of Germany’s leading research institutions in the field of production and has been developing manufacturing technologies since 1976. Due to the many years of work in the field of Industry 4.0, Fraunhofer IPK is the ideal partner for ZkSystems to provide a test environment of ZkSystems’ blockchain-based IoT application.

We are very excited for this project, because of its potential to make cutting-edge technology accessible for SMEs. This solution means machine manufacturers and machine users can benefit from automated billing based on IoT usage data.
