It’s my pleasure to share that Zoba has achieved SOC 2 Type 2 certification, making Zoba the industry’s first fleet optimization platform to receive this recognition. This is a significant milestone for our company and our customers and demonstrates Zoba’s ongoing commitment to maintaining the highest security and data privacy standards.

At Zoba, we understand the importance of protecting our customer’s data and the trust they place in us. The SOC 2 certification is independent validation of these efforts and would not have been possible without the hard work of many on the Zoba team. I am incredibly proud of our team for their hard work that made this validation possible.

What is SOC 2 Type 2?

Developed by the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), SOC 2 is a compliance framework used frequently by SaaS companies. The framework specifies five “trust service principles” for managing customer data, security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality and privacy.

A SOC 2 Type 2 report is an independent assessment that details the operational effectiveness of a company’s security controls & procedures. Internationally recognized, it is a leading standard for SaaS companies and others handling sensitive data in the cloud.

Zoba is proud to be the first urban fleet optimization platform to receive SOC 2 Type 2 certification.

What Does This Mean For Zoba Customers?

The globally-recognized certification comes after months of hard work and a rigorous audit. As a company committed to maintaining the highest level of technical excellence, this certification validates the investments we’ve made in our internal security and is a recognized signal to our customers and the industry of our ongoing commitment to data security and privacy.

The independent audit was conducted by the Johanson Group, a leading security and compliance provider, who validated Zoba’s stringent security and governance controls.

Third-party validation of security controls is a critical consideration for many organizations when selecting SaaS vendors. Achieving SOC 2 certification provides these organizations with a globally recognized certification asserting that Zoba is committed to the highest level of operational security.

The audit tested over 130 unique controls in the following areas:

  • Information security policies and procedures
  • Systems, information, network, infrastructure, and personnel security
  • Risk assessment
  • Business continuity and disaster recovery
  • Access controls
  • Change management
  • Management oversight
