This national campaign rolls out as Zocdoc has significantly expanded its nationwide provider network thanks to its new business model and expansion into telehealth

Today, Zocdoc is launching its highest-reaching national TV ad campaign to date — ‘Healthcare, but easy’ — that tells a comedic story illustrating patients’ challenges when navigating the healthcare system. Zocdoc’s new campaign follows a patient’s journey through the many friction-filled steps involved in finding and accessing in-network care. While traditional healthcare brands lean on a somber tone and focus on symptoms and the pain of being sick, Healthcare, but easy takes a more light-hearted approach. It focuses on the patient’s pain of contending with a frustrating, traditional healthcare experience and how Zocdoc’s service helps patients easily find and book care.

This national, prime time ad campaign comes on the heels of significant, nationwide provider expansion allowing Zocdoc to serve more patients in more parts of the country. This provider growth is in large part due to Zocdoc’s new pricing model which has lowered the financial barrier to entry enabling many more doctors across the U.S. to join the platform. Additionally, over the past five months, Zocdoc has expanded into virtual care and has quickly become one of the country’s largest and fastest-growing telehealth platforms, now offering video visits across all 50 states. The Healthcare, but easy campaign will help spread awareness of Zocdoc’s platform to more patients nationwide.

The Healthcare, but easy campaign was developed in-house by Greg Hathaway, Creative Director at Zocdoc, in partnership with David Roth. It was directed by Micah Perta and produced by Steve Unlimited. Media planning and buying for the Healthcare, but easy campaign was executed by Havas.

The first TV spot, “Really hurts” begins airing today and will be seen on prime time programming nationwide.
