What are we looking for?

The Zoetrope of Travel is a place for people who love to read travel writing to lose themselves in real travel stories.

To a lesser extent, it is also a place for travel enthusiasts to philosophize, pontificate, and/or daydream about travel — we publish those kinds of articles in the section “Travel Talk.”

But the goal of this publication is to earn followers who like to read travel stories. Skip to the bottom to read tips on writing for them, and therefore, on writing for us.

Steps before Submitting

I do not proofread/edit your stories, unless I’m whimsically up to it. I love editing but I’m also short on time!

So you are strongly encouraged to follow these steps before submitting:

1. Read your piece out loud to yourself.
2. Run your piece through the Hemingway Editor.
3. Run it through Spellcheck.
4. Run it through Grammarly.
5. Proofread it one last time on a…
