That time of the year, when we need to calm nerves πŸ˜…. In this post, we try and address some reasonings behind delays around certain milestones we set for ourselves at the beginning of the year. Nothing's changed in what we've set out to achieve β€” we remain as focused on ticking all the boxes. The team's scaling, the tech's innovating by the day and we remain steadfast on our goals and objectives.

As Eduard summed it up recently,

If you missed it, here's an overview of our updated roadmap till the end of the yearπŸ‘‡

And now to answer some of questions that keep coming up from within the community. Here are six commonly asked questions across some of our social channels,

When does the ZoidPay Chrome Extension go global?

Currently, as you'd be aware, the Chrome Extension is available for download and usage within countries in the EEA zone. We've been working to launch the extension globally. The delay has come in around legalities, which we are ironing out. Rather than having a country or region specific launch, we prefer waiting and sorting out legalities across jurisdictions, allowing the launch of the extension globally.

Meanwhile, we continue to develop the Chrome Extension, our latest release being from earlier this week.

We expect the launch to happen globally in Q1 of 2023.

What’s the status on non-KYC cards?

While we were ready to launch the non-KYC cards in Q2 of this year, the market conditions deteriorating did not really help. Traditional service providers tend to be cautious with crypto when it comes to assuming risk.

We are optimistic on this roll-out and are now working to align this launch with the acquisition of the digital bank. This will give us a lot more control over the process.

When can we expect the F1 sponsorship deal?

This year.

You will definitely see ZoidPay on the track this season and for many more to come. While we earlier expected to be in the first race after the summer break, there have been some delays on this front. Please understand these deals are massive and involve a ton of legalities. Like we keep saying, a delay doesn't mean it's not happening. It's cause we are etching further our relationship with the team and management.

When can we spend our LKMEX?

As you'd have seen Eduard's recent tweet, the Chrome Extension now shows users the amount of LKMEX they can spend based on the tiers you belong to. We are gearing up for the roll-out in the coming weeks. In all probabilities, we should be set to roll this feature in September.

When can we expect the bank acquisition?

We earlier expected this to be completed within the year. Understand this is a first within the crypto space β€” where a blockchain based projects acquires a traditional bank. A lot of the processes within the ongoing due diligence are firsts even for the regulators we are dealing with, leaving the process often out of our control. The last thing, we'd want is some lapse on the regulatory part of it.

Like we'd recently communicated, "we’re hands-on fulfilling all the DD necessary to finalise the deal including legal, compliance, structure wise". We remain committed to making the transition of TradFi to DeFi, and extending crypto denominated lending products and services and more in a brick and mortar form.

When will we see a new ZoidPay app?

You'll see the v1.0 of the new ZoidPay app before the end of the year. Here we are building an app that aims to be a Fintech Powerhouse, something we also like calling the "Web 3.0 Super App", adept with all of the products and offerings from within the ZoidPay ecosystem. As a feel, once fully developed this will boast of

  1. Multi-crypto support
  2. Multi-currency IBANS
  3. Send and receive funds (Crypto/FIAT 🀩)
  4. Instant transfers and top-ups
  5. Connected to multiple banks (Open Banking)
  6. Access to traditional financial services (e.g. Savings account, Insurance)
  7. Access to WEB3 Financial Services including Crypto-backed loans

and lots lots more.

Hope this helps! If it doesn't and you're still not convinced that we are on top of our game, come meet us at X Day in Paris on 3rd November. We'll try convincing you then πŸ˜…,

Your support matters every step of this journey πŸ™Œ.
