Yesterday, Slack.com released “Interactive Messages” which are similar to other messages but contain buttons that evoke an action.

Example of Slack.com’s new interactive message with buttons

At Zoom.ai, we view this as a natural progression to create richer user interfaces inside messaging platforms. A great move by Slack to continue the move away from plain text messaging that SMS ushered in. This functionality is similar to other messaging platforms such as Facebook Messenger, Telegram and Kik.

Slack’s new interactive messages are now supported in Zoom.ai when a question is asked of the user. Just click on a button instead of typing in a response.
