How to use Diamond & Access bank cards on Zoto
Do you have a Visa bank card from either Diamond or Access Banks? If you do, chances are, you’re going to use them on Zoto.
The Visa cards are a little different from other card issuers where online payment is concerned, there’s an extra security measure called Internet PIN as IPIN.
IPIN is peculiar to banks that issue Visa card, it’s especially required while making online transactions .
Like your regular ATM pin…
- IPIN is only generated on the ATMs of the banks that issued your card.
2. IPIN is also a One-Time Pin unless you’re required to change it, thereby another can be regenerated.
To generate your first IPIN
- Insert your card in the ATM
- Be sure to Select IPIN (instead of usual PIN option)
- Input your preferred 4 digit number) IPIN
- Confirm your preferred IPIN by retyping it
- — and your IPIN generated successfully.
If for any reason you need to regenerate a new IPIN, the process is similar to a normal PIN-change process. This is what you do.
- Insert your card in the ATM
- select ‘Change PIN’ option
- Be sure to Select IPIN (instead of PIN option)
- Type in your current / old IPIN
- Now input your preferred NEW IPIN (4 digit number)
- Confirm your preferred NEW IPIN by retyping it
- — your IPIN has been changed successfully.
Using your IPIN on Zoto
While trying to complete payment on Zoto, once you get to the OTP page, simply input the generated IPIN as the OTP and the transaction is immediately authorized.
Note that you’re not required to generate a new IPIN for each transaction, same IPIN generated on activation is to be used continuously. Except you have security reasons to change it.
If you’ve hesitated to use your Visa card on Zoto because you didn’t know about IPIN, now you do. Go ahead and recharge on Zoto.
