On the 1st of October 2017, the Zoto Smile project was launched as a way of giving back to the society.

The project was kicked off with an announcement on the 9th of October, 2017 that we were contributing to help support the victims of the Benue flood. This was done in partnership with Hope Foundation — a non-governmental organisation in Nigeria. To do this, we decided to donate N10 on every recharge made on Zoto — at no cost to you, of course — because we trusted our users to come through.

Well, guess what?! You did not just come through; you came through and showed out! We did it, guys! In less than a week, Zoto raised N500,000 as donations to be sent to the victims of the Benue flood. The foundation was able to donate 150 school bags — writing materials inclusive — to children in Makurdi.

These items were distributed on the 31st of October 2017 to a happy crowd of 150 students in 2 primary schools. 82 of these bags were donated to The Local Government Education Authority (L.E.A) school; the remaining 68 were donated to The Roman Catholic Mission Primary School (R.C.M) in Makurdi.

Here are some pictures from the donation. We love and appreciate every customer that made this a success.

From the bottom of our hearts, we say a big THANK YOU to Nigerians for recharging. Thank you! Thank you!! Thank you!!!
