Welcome to the first edition of Building ZTX
Greetings Citizens!
We are excited to introduce the first edition of our Building ZTX newsletter series where we’ll be sharing regular updates about ZTX developments and roadmap. We believe in the power of building in public, and our goal is to keep you informed and involved every step of the way.
Alongside each Building ZTX update, we will be hosting a Townhall — a live Discord event to connect with you. It’s an opportunity to engage directly with our team, ask burning questions, and share your feedback.
The Townhall events will be packed with sneak peeks and alpha. So mark your calendars, prepare your questions, and get ready to join Karma — our Head of Community — on July 14th 2pm BST/ 9am EST.
Now, let’s dive into the exciting updates we have for you today.
Road to Launch: ZTX Playtests
Rome wasn’t built in a day. At ZTX, we will be staggering a series of playable game launches, each one introducing more features and opportunities. These will be known as Playtests and will give you the opportunity to test ZTX and provide feedback. And we are thrilled to share that the first playtest of ZTX is just around the corner.
In the first playtest release, you will be granted a piece of ZTX land. Using the Avatar that you built, you’ll be able to walk around and explore your new home and the property around it, decorating it to your heart’s content with beautiful items designed by our art team. This will lay the foundation for planting, harvesting as well as crafting new items in future playtest releases.
In the early playtests, we’ll be focusing our full attention on the magic of ZTX as a playfield for customization and self-expression. As the playtest goes live, our team will work on implementing valuable feedback from the community on an ongoing basis.
Keep in mind though — the first playtest will only be live for a limited time. And what happens once we had our fun with the exploration and decoration? It will be time to reset the stage, implement feedback from the community and keep on building! Step by step, the series of playtests will introduce new gameplay elements and interactions.

ZTX Creator Tooling: A Sneak Peek
Content creators are the lifeblood of every thriving social ecosystem. With ZEPETO — our web2 partner — boasting over 90% in-game UGC (user-generated content) and millions of daily transactions of digital items, ZTX has big shoes to fill. We have already received large amounts of inquiries from 3D creators excited to build their brands in ZTX and this is why we are hard at work preparing a suite of creator tools, empowering you to unleash your creativity within ZTX.
We have just completed an end-to-end test of the NFT minting tool. For now, it will be used internally to facilitate faster development of our in-game items. Our plan is to make it publicly available as part of the suite of creator tools we’ll be offering to ZTX builders like yourself. The minter will not only be used by experienced 3D creators — we are also exploring how this might be useful to the casual creators as you craft and explore ZTX 👀
This sums up what we have for you today and we hope you’re as excited as we are about these updates. ZTX is a labor of love, and we’re excited to be moving closer to sharing the first playable opportunities with you.
