ZTX Community Governance Launch
At ZTX, our vision is to build a platform with a thriving digital economy. Central to this vision is the belief that our community should have a voice in shaping the future of ZTX. By introducing community governance, we’re making an important move toward this goal. Our approach will be gradual: the ZTX team will assist and guide the community to ensure that the proposals align with the technical developments for the best possible outcomes and fair execution.
Community Governance consists of two stages:
1. Discussion (for this, we are launching a ZTX Discourse forum) 💬
2. Voting (for this, we have setup a ZTX space on Snapshot) 🗳️
How can I Contribute?
💬 Join the Forum and participate in discussions
- Head to the ZTX Discourse Forum and start sharing feedback, including this first ZIP (short for ‘ZTX Improvement Proposal’) that we prepared!
- The governance forum lives on a separate website (instead of Discord) for full transparency and separation of governance from other announcements. You can contribute by liking, commenting, or starting new discussions — check out the Forum Tutorial section first!
- Your input and engagement shapes ideas that could turn into proposals.
✍️ Create Your Own Proposal
- Have an idea to improve ZTX? Start a discussion thread in the appropriate forum category.
- Engage with the community for at least 7 days, gather feedback, and refine your proposal.
- Once refined, reach out to the ZTX team on Discord by opening a ticket. The team will help you finalize your proposal and assign a ZIP number. Read this tutorial on the proposal process for more info!
🗳️ Vote on Proposals
- Approved proposals will be posted in the ZIP — ZTX Improvement Proposals section.
- Informal polls can be included on forum to to gauge sentiment.
- Final voting will take place on Snapshot: a well-tested platform for token voting that many projects have been using for years. Snapshot allows you to connect your wallet and cast votes with your $ZTX token holdings. Do not worry about missing the votes — we will announce them on X and Discord to keep you updated!
- You can vote with staked $ZTX tokens only (no need to unstake!). The ZTX staking is available on Steer Protocol (under the Tab Arbitrum).
First Governance Discussion
To kickstart our governance process and guide early community participation, the ZTX team has prepared the first discussion proposal: ZIP 001. It aims to establish and distribute a suitable budget to encourage ZEPETO creators to generate and share content related to ZTX, enhancing its visibility and engagement within the ZEPETO community of over 20 Million monthly active users.
