ZTX Onboards Over 200k New Users in a Single Day

We are excited to share the results of our cross-platform initiative to bridge the gap between ZEPETO’s massive user base and ZTX.

On August 25, ZTX ran a promotional campaign on ZEPETO, the largest avatar social network in Asia and ZTX’s web2 counterpart. The aim of the initiative was to educate and onboard ZEPETO’s massive legacy audience onto ZTX. With over 400 million registered users, onboarding even a fraction of ZEPETO users would be significant.

The campaign offered ZEPETO’s users the opportunity to secure a virtual ZTX branded hoodie that can be used (worn by their avatars) on both platforms. This is an example of our commitment to building cross-platform and cross-community interoperability in a fun and engaging manner — or in true ZTX fashion (no pun intended). What’s even more exciting are the results…

The initiative onboarded over 200,000 new users onto ZTX across various regions globally.

Additionally, the idea of cross-platform collaboration appealed to multiple ZEPETO creators. Multiple creators — who collectively have more than 8 million followers on the platform — participated in the campaign by creating content and hosting livestreams to further educate their followers about the opportunity.

To facilitate this one-of-a-kind initiative, ZTX partnered with Obi, an account abstraction project building solutions to make Web3 more usable. ZEPETO users were able to claim the hoodie in a few simple clicks while Obi simultaneously handled the creation of Web3 wallets and ZTX accounts.

For every ZEPETO user, an Arbitrum wallet needed to be generated and associated with their account so they could receive the on-chain hoodie and create a ZTX account. Obi’s account abstraction technology handled this process automatically, making campaign participation seamless and saving ZEPETO users from the intimidating hurdles of seed phrases. What's more, ZEPETO users will soon be able to access and manage their ZTX accounts, and conversely their Arbitrum wallets, through the same credentials used in ZEPETO. This is an example of how ZTX and Obi’s partnership seeks to make it easier for users from all backgrounds to start their Web3 journeys.

On a mission to onboard 1B users, this pilot demonstrates how ZTX can seamlessly bridge the gap between web2 and web3. ZEPETO users could easily claim the hoodie which simultaneously created a ZTX account for them using social accounts. Built on Arbitrum, ZTX’s initiative also resulted in 200k+ Arbitrum wallets being generated.

Our team will continue to build innovative experiences and initiatives to onboard the next 1 billion users.

Most recently, we held our Genesis Home Mint which SOLD OUT. This NFT will give community members the first opportunity to participate in the ZTX NFT ecosystem and unlock in-game utility for holders. Later this month, we will launch an updated private beta (‘Playtest 2’) of the ZTX world and game, keeping up with our recent high pace of shipping features. We’re excited to share more updates and previews of ZTX in the near future.
