ZTX Recap: Looking Back on 2022
Celebrating the first year of turning our vision into reality
2022. Oh, what a year.
This year, ZTX came to life with an idea. And that idea turned into a vision.
Over the past year, we began building toward our vision amidst a series of industry-defining events. And as we say goodbye to 2022, let’s look back on the months we worked to achieve our vision of creating a metaverse for all.
The Beginning: Avengers Assemble
A great idea only goes so far. At the end of the day, the people behind the idea give it life and turn it into reality. Before reflecting on 2022, it would be amiss if we didn’t give recognition to all the people who made it possible.
Since our inception this year, our team has grown from 10 initial founding members to over 30 strong — attracting exceptional talents from web2 tech giants and successful web3 startups. Hailing from over five countries, our diverse and remote team of engineers, game designers, product managers, artists, community builders and operators all bring something special to the table. We’re incredibly proud and excited to be working with such a creative and innovative team.
Summer Debut
ZTX officially announced its debut in August. We shared how ZTX would be co-incubated by two leaders of their domains: ZEPETO — Asia’s largest web2 metaverse with over 400 million users — and Jump Crypto, a leader in web3 infrastructure, development, and investment.
The announcement revealed our goal to onboard Asia’s largest metaverse to web3 and innovate with mass adoption in mind by leveraging ZEPETO’s existing foundation, user base and IP alongside support from our crypto partners such as Jump.
ZTX Vision: A Metaverse for All
Looking back at a decade ago, not many would have imagined multiplayer video games to spawn multimillion-dollar earning players or a social platform featuring 15-second video clips to birth overnight celebrities with brand endorsements of the highest tiers.
In fact, the idea of digital payment networks enabling users to send funds at a global scale almost instantly while retaining 100% custody of their funds would not have been imaginable.
But today, none of this should come as a surprise. These combined cultural and web3-powered technological shifts have contributed to what is the growing intersection between work and passion. The barriers are no longer defined by physical, geographical, or cultural standards.
With a vision to create a metaverse for all, ZTX aims to empower creators, communities and players to build, play and earn while delivering an experience that is all the while fun and enriching. A place where anyone can make their work become their passion.
Deep dive into ZTX: The Litepaper
The ZTX litepaper is a deep dive into everything we’re building — the first glimpse into the magnitude of diverse experiences and games as well as the varying themes of each District.
The litepaper covers aspects of gameplay and economics, social features and avatars, as well as introducing the concepts of Districts, Downtowns and more. If you haven’t read it yet — what better time than the holidays? Sit back, relax and enjoy the alpha.
ZTX Community
A product is nothing without a community. The ZTX community has been growing at a rapid pace, and we are closing this year with an active community snapshot of:

We’re excited to carry this momentum into the new year with a clear goal of building one of the strongest, most inspiring communities out there.
The Genesis Home NFT mint that will kickstart the growth of the ZTX ecosystem is created entirely to reward early supporters and engaged community members. With events, games and community engagement programs, we plan to involve and engage you every step of the way.

Events
The world started opening up in 2022. Here at ZTX, we were lucky to spend some time IRL as a team and meet with community members at events.
In August, we successfully co-sponsored our first public event with ZEPETO during Korea Blockchain Week. Despite record-breaking rain and floods sweeping throughout Seoul that night, we enjoyed an unforgettable event with an amazing turnout. From thereon, we continued introducing ZTX via IRL events such as speaking at Breakpoint 2022, co-hosting a VIP event at Art Basel Miami and more.
It was inspiring to meet with the sharpest minds in the industry and connect with our friends across the web3 ecosystem including builders, KOLs and NFT artists!

Reflecting on 2022 — a note from our Co-CEO

As we bid adieu to 2022, we welcome 2023 with fire in our belly. There are releases after releases to be unveiled, and a proper full year of product development to be enjoyed as we await the next dawn. Our resolve to provide genuine entertainment and value through an on-chain metaverse remains as strong as ever. May then the strength of all our friends, supporters, and partners guide us to deliver on our ambitions, on time, on point. Let the games begin.”
Looking Ahead — 2023
2023 is going to be big for ZTX as we will be launching our first-ever ZTX Genesis Home Mint.
Other exciting releases lined up are as follows:
- Avatar Builder — create & customize your web3 avatar to be used in ZTX
- ZTX Beta— includes core gameplay, downtown social experiences, and a multiplayer portal game
Keep in mind that all of this is still just the very beginning of what we have in store. After launching the Beta, our team will focus on increasing & enhancing the features, experiences and governance capabilities of ZTX.
