Lite.IM Is Growing: Support for BTC, ZTX, ETH, and More Is Coming Soon
Today we’re proud to announce that Lite.IM is expanding to include support for additional cryptocurrencies, starting with ZTX and ETH, and continuing with BTC and more to follow. What started as a messaging-based wallet exclusively for Litecoin is growing into something bigger and better.
In recent months we’ve added support for Facebook Messenger and SMS Messaging in the U.S. and Canada, and plan to roll out additional platforms in the near future to engage people on the apps they already know and love. But we’re confident that Lite.IM will be an even more valuable tool as it grows into a multi-currency hub.
Since day one, Lite.IM has been about expanding cryptocurrency access to a wider and more diverse audience than ever before. The Litecoin community has been an invaluable part of this process, and we’ll continue to be actively involved there. But to truly realize our mission of expanding access, inclusivity, and adoption, we cannot exclude those who want to use other currencies as well.
If you’re already using Lite.IM for Litecoin, you’ll soon notice the added options for creating a wallet for ZTX, ETH, and BTC though of course you can continue to use Lite.IM exclusively for Litecoin if you prefer.
For those who want to begin using Lite.IM to send and receive ZTX (Zulu Republic’s native cryptocurrency), just note that, for now, you’ll need to have a small amount of ETH in your wallet to cover the gas fees for sending. We’re proud to be expanding ZTX accessibility to the combined 1.5+ billion monthly active users of Messenger and Telegram, not to mention SMS and the additional platforms that Lite.IM will support in the near future.
