Why Should I Buy CryptoZunks?
We’re glad you asked! CryptoZunks are the unofficial sequel to Punks (not affiliated with Larva Labs) and are numbered 10,000 –19,999. Zunk’s are generated on-chain with randomized attributes and guaranteed to be unique from any Punk. Zunk’s attributes were able to be re-rolled until 8/13/21, after which the collection’s metadata has officially been finalized.

Digital Currency (ETH)
You can buy ETH, the digital currency that fuels transactions on the Ethereum blockchain, from a digital currency exchange like Coinbase or Shakepay. You will need ETH to “mint” an NFT, purchase an NFT, and for gas fees to complete transactions.

Now that you have ETH, next you will need a crypto wallet.
Crypto Wallet (MetaMask)
A crypto wallet, such as MetaMask (the most popular gateway to blockchain apps), stores your ETH and processes transactions on the Ethereum blockchain. A unique wallet address will be generated and you will use this address to complete transactions.
Head over to metamask.io to download and install MetaMask crypto wallet for your browser, IOS, or Andriod.
Next step is to Create a Wallet.
You must store your Secret Recovery Phrase in a safe place. It is the only way to recover your funds should your device crash or your browser resets. We recommend you to write it down. The most common method is to write your 12-word phrase on a piece of paper and store it safely in a place where only you have access.
Note: if you lose your Secret Recovery Phrase, MetaMask can’t help you recover your wallet.
Never give your Secret Recovery Phrase or your private key(s) to anyone or any site, unless you want them to have full control over your funds.
Use MetaMask on a personal device.
MetaMask stores the Secret Recovery Phrase, passwords, and private keys in an encrypted format locally on the device where it’s installed.
Next you want to transfer ETH into your crypto wallet.
Click Send on the Coinbase website or the black arrow (>) on mobile to start the transfer of ETH to your wallet.
Next you need to copy the ETH external address onto your clipboard.
It is very important to pay attention here to ensure accuracy as there is no reversing the transaction once you complete it. Always double check that the address you entered is the correct address.
Enter the amount you would like to send and hit continue.
For Shakepay users, you have the option to scan the QR Code of your MetaMask wallet to input the address.
On MetaMask (shown below), select Account details by clicking on the three (3) black dots under your profile picture. Here you can find your QR Code and other account details such as your full address and a link to your Etherscan page.
Once the ETH has been transferred to your MetaMask wallet, you are ready to shop for Zunks on OpenSea! Some transfers are not instant and will require some patience as it is being verified on the blockchain.
What is OpenSea?
OpenSea is the world’s first and largest NFT marketplace with everything for everyone. You will need to connect your crypto wallet to OpenSea where you can buy, trade, create, and sell NFT’s!
This is how to connect your MetaMask wallet with OpenSea.
When you arrive at opensea.io, click the top right wallet icon and select MetaMask.
You will then be asked to connect your wallet through multiple prompts like a Signature Request.
When you see “Connecting…” OpenSea to your wallet, you’re almost done. Once connected, the process is complete and you can start buying Zunks!
Also, you can update your profile by heading to the top right and clicking Settings followed by a Signature Request. This step can be skipped if you don’t feel like editing your profile.
Now that you are all set up, let’s show you how to shop for CryptoZunks!
Browsing The Zunks Collection
Head over to our collection on OpenSea at opensea.io/collection/zunks.
Once you arrive, it is highly suggested to scroll down and click the Buy Now button on the left side. This will filter the marketplace to only show the Zunks that are purchasable immediately. The rest of the Zunks not shown, would be for bid only.
To filter certain Properties that you are looking for, such as rare traits like 3D Glasses, head over to the right side menu where you can see a list of all properties associated with Zunks.
Also, you can sort your list by Price, Recently Listed, and more. Head over to its menu near the top right of the marketplace.
When you see a Zunk that you are interested in, click on it to bring up its profile. Check out its Properties to learn what traits it has.
Rare properties may be more valuable then common properties and these randomly generated traits determine the overall rarity of the Zunk.
Rarity.tools is a powerful tool that lists Zunks-Ranked by Rarity.
You can customize your search by going to Item Filters and Trait Filters on the left side menu. You can also Lookup the ID of your Zunk to check it’s overall rarity in the collection. You can Sort by Rarity, Price, and Recently Listed from the drop-down menu found on the main page.
When you are ready to purchase, click Buy Now. The other purchasing option would be Make Offer and you can set a duration for your offer.
This action will bring up the Complete Checkout screen. You are required to check off the box to agree to OpenSea’s Terms of Service and then you can proceed by clicking on Complete Checkout.
This will prompt a MetaMask Notification window to pop up with your transactions details. You will notice your estimated gas fees here and it will fluctuate in real time.
You can customize the gas fee settings by clicking on Edit.
You don’t want your gas fees to be too low as it will take much longer for the transaction to be verified on the blockchain, however it will cost less.
You have the option to increase your gas fees when you really want a transaction to be verified quickly, but it will cost more.
For beginners, it is recommended to keep the default setting of Medium (no adjustments required) until you get familiar with gas fees.
Click on Confirm when you are absolutely ready to purchase your Zunk.
As this transaction is being confirmed on the blockchain, you can check its progress by clicking the status link, which will direct you to etherscan.io. Some transactions are not instant and will require some patience.

Your purchase has been processed and congratulations on your new Zunk!
You can confirm your transaction on the blockchain by clicking on the Transaction Hash which will direct you to Etherscan and by checking your MetaMask wallet activity. Your purchase will also show up on your OpenSea profile page.
