ZVChain’s mainnet has been running for 15 days. Until now, block skipping rate is close to 0, the staking groups are working in full force (which means all staking groups are running with close to full membership of 100 nodes). Number of staking nodes (verifying and queueing) has exceeded 2,000 which is a sign for competitiveness.

Due to the constantly growing of mining group, and a considerably large proportion of members without technical background, we have collated a few frequently asked questions (FAQs) with detailed explanations.

Q1: Why is my account frozen, and how do I unfreeze it?

Answer: If your “miner_status” displays as “frozen”, your account has been temporarily disabled. The most common reason for frozen accounts is low quality internet connection, which leads to non-response to system’s grouping request.

How to solve it? Take a group as an example:

Step 1: Wait for 1 hour after account has been frozen before unlocking the “unlock -addr address”;

Step 2: After unlocking, execute the mining abortion command “minerabort — type 0 gaslimit 5000”, wait for the transaction hash to appear on ZVChain explorer

Step3: Execute the 0 stake adding command “stakeadd -type 0 -value 0 -gaslimit 5000” to restore the account.

Q2: How to check whether I am in a group? How many groups have I joined?

Answer: Use the command “groupcheck -addr <group address>” to check whether you are in a certain group. Use “joined_living_groups” to check the working groups you have joined. Every node can join 5 group at maximum. The more groups a node joins, the more a node can mine.

Q3: Why do I have no mining profit?

Answer: Firstly, use ZVChain explorer to check the current mining competitiveness using “Median Stake” as a reference. Taking miners as an example, higher stake means higher chance of entering a group in the PoS mining mechanism. If you are constantly not joining any group, consider increasing the stake. Once you are in a group, only 51% of the group members will get the reward from a success proof. Hence, a high-quality internet connection is essential to get an advantage.

Q4: What do I do with the problem below?

Answer: Block height cannot be updated, and error message says your router does not support NAT traversal, please upgrade your router. ZVChain supports most common routers in the market. If this error persists, you are advised you change to a commonly used router model.

If you have other questions, please feel free to ask in ZVChain community, our team will answer as soon as we can.

Q5: How do i get involved with test net testing?

Answer: Connect to the test net node and request 501 test tokens at https://developer.zvchain.io/#/. Follow the standard procedure mentioned in the following staking guide.
