Sound Design Tools 01: Proximity
In this series of articles I want to talk about the plug-ins that I use most often and those that must necessarily be in my toolbox. There is no any order or rating in this articles. I talk about random plugins i use in my sound design projects.
The First one is Proximity from Tokyo Dawn Records. This is pretty simple one-functional tool. The main goal of it is to change a feeling of distance to audio source.
Often there is a situation when simple decreasing volume does not give a feeling of distance. It still sound like very close audio source, but quieter. Proximity helps to change it very quickly. A few moves and all done! You’ve got the right feeling.
One of the best option about this plugin is that it is free! It is available by the link.
