Solutyo, a French company, is the flagship in innovative management, industrial digitalization, digital transformation and — our partner.

Recently we sat down with a representative from Solutyo for a short interview regarding our mutual goals and to hear their thoughts on the current state of Industry 4.0 in France.

Among the topics they commented on were the features of Zyfra’s MDCPlus which they considered to be key for their business — those features being “Production monitoring, Mobile monitoring and Computerized Maintenance”.

The respondent: Vincent Lambert, Co-founder and commercial director.

Please, tell us a little about your company.

Solutyo started with a group of Quebecers and French who were eager to use their experience in the Industry to profit enterprises in their digital transformation. We believe that industrial digital transformation is an alliance between excellence in information systems, operational and strategic management, and this is exactly where Solutyo’s expertise lies.

Who are your clients? What are the typical problems you have to help them solve?

Our typical customer is a small or medium industrial enterprise which has become aware that the digitization of the company is inevitable and which prefers to anticipate the change today rather than suffer tomorrow.

Firstly, they want to supervise their production process in real-time, in order to stabilize and then improve their performance. They want to be able to speak with data in hand, to communicate based on current facts.

Second, we can offer new services with a greater added value which only digitalization allows: real-time transparency with their customers, agile design, project cooperation, co-design, integration of information systems, service portals, self-diagnosis, level 1 and 2 automated support, etc.

What is the current state of Industry 4.0 in France in your opinion?

Numbers show France is trailing Germany when it comes to digitalization. Overall the French industry is beginning to digest the effective integration of ERP, CMMS, and CAD / CAM. Only continuous process industries have developed real-time performance monitoring systems through SCADA systems. Often we encounter initiatives without a real strategy, the only guarantee of success of a 4.0 transformation.

The tools must be at the service of the strategy and Industry 4.0 is not a strategy, it is a means like any other.

What are the main trends / most needed solutions in this sphere in France?

The deployment of the MDC system; connect the machines, determine the performance management data and display this data so that it can be shared and analyzed.

Why have you chosen to go into partnership with Zyfra?

Zyfra is an international company with the means to successful development and deployment. They acquire the required business skills — engineers, data analysts, electronics etc. — for product design. Industry professionals who know and understand the business specify the products and not only developers.

Which features of Zyfra MDCplus are the most useful for the French market in your opinion?

The most useful features of Zyfra MDCplus are Production monitoring, Mobile monitoring, and Computerized Maintenance.

How will Zyfra MDCplus change the French enterprises in the years to come?

It will increase process control, anticipation and create real-time cooperation all along the supply chain. More than ever the added value and the innovation will come from the service around the product, not from the product itself.
