1. **Phishing Scams**: Scammers send fake emails, messages, or websites that mimic PayPal’s official communications, asking recipients to provide personal or account information. These phishing attempts aim to steal users’ login credentials, financial details, or other sensitive information.

2. **Fake Payment Scams**: Scammers pose as buyers and send fake payment confirmations to sellers for goods or services. However, the payment is never actually made, and the scammers may request that the seller ship the items before payment is received, leaving the seller at a loss.

3. **Overpayment Scams**: Scammers send a payment to a seller for more than the agreed-upon amount and then request a refund of the excess payment via a different payment method. However, the initial payment is typically fraudulent, and the seller ends up losing money.

6. **Goods Not Received (GNR) Scams**: Scammers purchase goods from a seller using PayPal and then falsely claim that they never received the items. PayPal’s Buyer Protection may reimburse the buyer, leaving the seller at a loss.

7. **Account Takeover Scams**: Scammers gain unauthorized access to users’ PayPal accounts and use them to make purchases, transfer funds, or engage in other fraudulent activities.
