Five Nights at Freddy’s: The Terror of the Animatronic Puppet Ghosts
Five Nights at Freddy’s is an American horror film adaptation of the video game franchise of the same name. The movie was produced by Blumhouse Productions, a studio known for working on Hollywood horror hits.
Josh Hutcherson is the lead actor in this movie. He plays Mike Schmidt, a new security guard who works at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza.

Here is the synopsis of Five Nights at Freddy’s.
The movie tells the story of Mike Schmidt (Josh Hutcherson), a man who is looking for a new job because he has been unemployed for a long time. He must get a job in order to raise his sister named Abby (Piper Rubio).
Mike gets a job offer after applying as a security guard at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. During his interview, Mike is told that the building used to be a popular restaurant and playground for children.
The place, known as Freddy’s, closed down a few years ago. However, the landlord didn’t want to tear down or sell the building because he wasn’t ready.
Mike was then offered the task of guarding the place at night. He was only ordered to stay up all night at Freddy’s while keeping an eye on the monitor.
He didn’t have much choice but to accept the job. Mike also invited Abby to spend the night there because he couldn’t leave his sister at home.
On the first night, everything seemed to go smoothly. Mike worked according to the instructions of the person who recruited him.
Mike is suddenly visited by a police officer named Vanessa (Elizabeth Lail). He came to Freddy’s after learning that the place was again guarded by a new security guard.
Vanessa’s arrival turns out to be to tell an important secret that Mike didn’t know before. Vanessa explains that four animatronic doll mascots at Freddy’s are possessed by dangerous ghosts.
The four animatronics are named Freddy Fazbear, Bonnie, Chica and Foxy. In the 1980s, the ghosts possessing the four animatronics kidnapped children until they disappeared without a trace.
The ghosts are still around and come back every night. This creates fear and terror for Mike, especially since he also brings his sister to work.
Mike, with the help of Vanessa, tries to stop the terror of Freddy Fazbear et al, and save the lives of his sister and other threatened children.
Five Nights at Freddy’s is directed by Emma Tammi, known for Fair Chase (2014), The Wind (2018), and Into the Dark (2020).
Emma co-wrote the script for the movie with the original writers of the video game version, Scott Cawthon and Seth Cuddeback. Cawthon also produced the movie along with Jason Blum.
Besides Josh Hutcherson, the movie stars Elizabeth Lail, Piper Rubio, Matthew Lillard, and Mary Stuart Masterson. Kevin Foster, Jade Kindar-Martin, Jessica Weiss, and Roger Joseph Manning Jr. also join as voice actors for the animatronic puppets.
Five Nights at Freddy’s hits theaters starting October 25, 2023.
