0chain joins the AWS Partnership Network

At 0chain, we believe the vast majority of technology today will interact with a public blockchain network. From inception, 0chain has identified the enterprise space as one of the most important adopters of blockchain in order to achieve this high rate of adoption. We envision a future where enterprises experiment on the private side, and gradually “plug-in” to the public blockchain network to experience all of the cost and performance benefits a fast and robust decentralized network will provide.

So, how do we get there?

We start by building blockchain software that can provide enterprises with the benefits of a distributed ledger without the typical weaknesses of traditional blockchains (capped storage limits, high latency, slow speed, slow finality, etc). Once we have this — and we do through 0chain — we can focus on helping enterprises integrate it into their day-to-day processes. Large enterprises are careful about big changes, and this “sandboxing” process is what will help them become comfortable with the immediate benefits of a high-performance blockchain like 0chain’s without taking on significant security risk.

Through Siva, Phil, Tom, Saswata, and many more, the Silicon Valley based 0chain team has some of the best minds when it comes to understanding the demands of the enterprise and developing the ledger software to best accommodate those demands. As a testament to that, today we’re announcing the first of many phases of our partnership with AWS in the form of our Standard Partnership Certification through the AWS Partnership Network (APN).

APN Technology Partners “provide software solutions that are either hosted on, or integrated with, the AWS platform. Technology Partners include Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), SaaS, PaaS, developer tools, management and security vendors” [source: APN].

There are several tiers of AWS Partner in the APN; ranging from Registered, to Standard, to Advanced:

What is the specific scope of our Standard Partnership?

Currently, AWS has engaged in a joint investment in our development process. They have invested resources and continue to invest in helping 0chain build our current global DeVnet on a multinode AWS environment.

As previously mentioned, we presently slot in the “Standard”. We’ve been working with AWS for almost 1.5 years to date, and this partnership is constantly evolving. We’re on our way to becoming an Advanced Partner, which will transition our partnership from an Investment & Marketing oriented partnership, to a Selling partnership. We’ll inform the community when this happens, and provide further elaboration on the Advanced Tier partnership when that time comes. So, consider this the first of many future AWS announcements!

Thanks again for being part of our community, and we hope that you consider supporting our network as a miner/sharder/blobber as we inch closer to mainnet.
