Update(5/2/2024): The private testnet is now open to the public! Anyone can access it freely and permissionlessly.

We are pleased to announce the commencement of our much anticipated private testnet program.

Who Can Participate?

We received over 600 applications for participation during the private testnet registration window.

Our team reviewed the applications, and we were amazed by the enthusiasm of our community to test and support the Joint project.

As a result, we have decided to admit all the applicants into the test program.

What are the Requirements?

Update(5/2/2024): The private testnet is now open to the public! Anyone can access it freely and permissionlessly.

All applicants who have applied with their Ethereum address will be added to the testnet allowlist to ensure access to the testnet application. To gain access, you must:

Connect with the wallet you applied with.
Connect your discord account.
Be a member of Joint's discord server.
Have test ETH on the Sepolia Network. You can get test ETH from the links listed in this faucet directory.
Some markets require test P2P tokens on the Sepolia network. You can swap Sepolia ETH for test P2P tokens from the P2P/WETH market.

Earn Points

We have recently introduced the Joint Points System to incentivize members of our community to engage with the Joint protocol and the community.

The best ways to earn points are through the private testnet and the upcoming Trialnet program. Users will earn points as they try different features and complete random missions.

As you know, points are a way to quantify your contribution to the Joint project. The more points accrued, the greater the chance of a future reward.

Missions

While testnet participants can plot their test journey, the Joint team would randomly request testers to complete special tasks to collect feedback for a particular feature or behaviour. Missions reward high points to those who complete them before a deadline.

Instant Market Missions

Mision 1: Swap in P2P/WETH market.
Mission 2: Swap in WETH/P2P market.

Interactive Market Missions

Mission 3: Swap in NGN/P2P market.
Mission 4: Swap in P2P/NGN market.

Interactive markets involve swapping an on-chain asset (ex: P2P) for an off-chain asset (ex: fiat like NGN).

During this testnet, ⚠️ DO NOT SEND REAL FUNDS (ex: NGN, USD etc) TO ANYONE ️⚠️ in any of these markets. The assets in these markets are test tokens that carry no real world value. Swap counterparts may chose to cancel, release or appeal a swap at their discretion.

New missions will be announced in our discord server only.

We have prepared video guides for most essential point-earning activities to guide users in navigating and performing various actions on the Joint web application. These videos will make your journey seamless.

Upcoming Trialnet

If you missed out on registering for the private testnet program, don't worry. You and everyone else will have another opportunity to test the protocol and earn more points. The Trialnet, a live test version of the protocol on a mainnet, will start shortly after the private testnet program ends.

As you test, we encourage you to share your progress and any issue with the Joint team on our discord server's #general or #dev channels. Your feedback will help us improve the protocol and the user experience as we prepare for the mainnet launch.
