Dear Hillary Clinton,

Hi Hil, it’s me, Gerard Mclean from Englewood, Ohio.

As a reminder — if this is the first letter you are reading — I’m writing 100 letters, one for each day until Election Day on November 8, 2016. I’m also posting them on Medium http://100hrc.com, which you can read from your iPad or iPhone. I’m not sure how well it reads on Blackberry if that is still your device of choice, but do let me know. This is 3/100.

I hope you enjoyed your time in Ohio. I saw that you went as far west as Columbus and your schedule says that you will be flying over Dayton on your way to Omaha, NE for an appearance tomorrow.

It’s a shame we did not get to meet while you were here but I will wave as your plane flies overhead. I am quite skilled at doing that as most presidential candidates dropping in and out of Ohio asking for our vote every four years fly over Dayton. It’s ok; I live here and I get it. We’re not sexy.

The new month starts tomorrow and I’m pretty sure Anthem BC/BS of Ohio is holding its breath, hoping I am a day late and a dollar short on my premiums, so they can swiftly cancel my policy. It seems a bit ironic that the very thing that is supposed to keep us healthy is actually making us sick with stress, don’t you think?

I won’t keep you; I suspect you have a plane to catch soon, but I will leave you with a number that you and I will be talking about more in depth this coming week:

$124,800.00

Regards,

Gerard McLean
