Dear Hillary Clinton,

Gerard Mclean here, from Englewood, Ohio, just north of Dayton. There were 100 days from your nomination to election, so I’m writing you 100 letters. This is the thirty-sixth letter, which means there are sixty-four days left in the election. The others can be found in your USPS mailbox or online at 100HRC.com

We have turned the corner into September, which means Open Enrollment will soon be here. Americans in every state will then need to decide among a few bad choices of which health insurance they will have for the next calendar year. Most likely, their premiums will be higher as will their deductibles.

January to December; no matter how much we each will have paid into the system prior, the health care system will not care. All my contributions, my premiums paid in full and on time will be wiped clean and I will each start over, with no history and only insurance to cover what health problems might occur within the calendar year.

Does that sound insane to you? It sure does to me.

Health doesn’t live according to a calendar. We need UniversalCare, SinglePayer, MedicareForAll.

Regards,

Gerard McLean
cc: Sen. Sherrod Brown
