Dear Hillary Clinton,

Gerard Mclean here, from Englewood, Ohio. This is an epilogue letter of one hundred I am writing you on health care; one for each day between your nomination and your election. The previous letters can be found in your USPS mailbox or online at 100HRC.com.

I saw a clip of Speaker Paul Ryan proudly claiming to have voted for Republicans up and down the ticket at his Janesville polling station. He also proudly claimed that when your opponent wins, he is in favor of a special session of Congress specifically to repeal the Affordable Care Act.

I believe the legislation is already written to do this should the Republicans gain control of the White House and retain control of both Houses of Congress. I also believe that Mr. Ryan has a plan to circumvent the ACA should you gain the White House and every other combination of party leadership in either or both Houses of Congress.

This obsession with denying health care to Americans who are unwilling or unable to fork over 25%+ of their gross income to the private, for-profit health care corporations just to not die from treatable causes is the height of obsession and dereliction of duty. They should be looking for ways to expand the general welfare.

Maybe SinglePayer, MedicareForAll, UniversalCare is not the answer, but repealing the ACA, throwing smart, hard-working into the street ala “You’re Fired!” is certainly not the way forward.

I will continue to fight these people. I expect you will too

Regards,

Gerard McLean
