1000 Years of Classical Music
Our World in Sound
Note from the editor

1000 years ago, a monk called Guido of Arezzo devised a system that allowed him to write down and share music. In doing so, he began a tradition and culture that has continued unbroken for the next millennium, providing a soundtrack to the development of the world. From Baroque and before to the Classical, Romantic and Modern eras, join us on a journey through 1000 Years of Classical Music. An initiative of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.
