(A horror story in 50 words.)

“It’s time,” she said. “They’re coming.” She collapsed.

Her skin tore with moist sounds. Fangs broke her chest apart from inside. Their blood red eyes blinked in the light as they emerged.

I watched tearfully as all life drained from her.

Her children were beautiful. She would never see them.
