I’m dreaming of presents when noise in the chimney wakes me.
He’s here! I sneak into the hallway and peek downstairs, watching for the jolly fat man.
The thing crawling out of the fireplace isn’t jolly. Or a man.
Don’t notice me, I think as its bloodshot eyes meet mine.
