The week gone by was full of Bitcoin Frenzy, got calls from a friend in class 12th and a 60-year old uncle asking me about how to invest in Bitcoin :).Its derby day today and I am all excited to see a rejuvenated Man United team take on a very good (I have to be honest here :( ) Man city team. #GGMU

Here are the 7 bullets of this week-

  1. Get Rich Quick == None- REPEAT AFTER ME : IF ANYBODY TELLS YOU ABOUT A GET RICH QUICK SCHEME, IT IS THEIR SCHEME TO GET RICH AT YOUR EXPENSE. This is in context to the current Crypto currency hoopla.
  2. AWS is the new Salesforce- AWS after conquering Infrastructure as a service is now moving into SaaS — they have launched AWS connect (Contact center software) and AWS SSO-Single Sign on in recent months. I don’t have any reviews to share about the above 2 products. Eager to see how the SaaS giants like Salesforce hold back Amazon onslaught.

3. Indian Equity market — Still lot to gain- With Bitcoin being the investment of the season, most of the first time investors are getting into crypto currency . There are over looking the un-sexy (but extremely bullish) Indian stock market which poised to give CAGR of 15–20% for the next 10 years. There are still a lot promising Small caps which will turn into Large caps in the coming 5–10 years, and these are 100x stable as compared to Bitcoin and have solid financials to back them. That is why investing is so tough-It is easy to be GREEDY when Other are GREEDY.

I leave you with stats about how HDFC has created wealth for its shareholders in last 15 years -

4. [PODCAST OF THE WEEK] Naval Ravikant at OFF RCRD-

5. [DEV BULLET OF THE WEEK] Go to guide for Images- I found this great resource covering all important aspects of handling images when building frontends. Must read for every frontend developer-

6. No country for selling SaaS- This is the theme that dominates my thoughts in spare time- When will Indian market become a mainstream consumer of SaaS products (There are obvious reasons why it has not happened till now) My guess is — Inflection point is still 3–4 years away. The following article details the above point -

7. [WEEKLY HUMOUR] Accountability-
