Banana Peel, Tribe Reveal!

Well, there is no doubt that the last couple of weeks have been absolutely bananas for the 0xApes project with the launching of our highly anticipated follow up collection Tribe!

As you are all aware, after gearing up to reveal Tribe at the end of July the team felt that the collection just wasn’t up to our standard for it’s final release and though working tirelessly, we quite simply realized that we had bitten off more than we could chew and were not willing to compromise our belief in delivering a collection that is absolute in its quality. A Medium was released detailing the reasoning behind the delay and some of the intricacies faced by the team in these final crucial stages of QC’ing. We cant thank the community enough for your patience and understanding during this period. So…

Wen Reveal?

The moment you’ve all been waiting for! The reveal is almost upon us! After countless hours of quality checking, with the team going back and forth on so many traits, colors and concepts, and tackling the layering issues on a 35 gigabyte collection, we have finally agreed on a hard date for the Tribe Odyssey reveal!

To this end, the reveal will take place on… 15th August 2022!

We would like to take this opportunity to thank our community as always. It is your loyalty, patience, and excitement throughout this crucial pre-reveal period that has allowed the team to pour our undivided focus into the final refinement and quality checks required for the delivery of this epic collection!

With that being said, the response we have received from the revealing of the 19 furs and the introduction of lore through our bonus comic book cover collection, 19: The Exodus, as well as the continued sneak peeks of Tribe has been nothing short of amazing! The amount of hype and excitement we have witnessed has left both the team and the community absolutely buzzing for the final reveal of Tribe!

19: The Exodus Revealed

As stated in our previous Banana Update, in celebration of the Tribe launch and to reward OG community members who have held their 0xApes during this reveal window, we will be completing a random airdrop! We will randomly select 0xApe holders for a chance to win an airdropped Tribe comic book cover NFT (one of the 19 furs will be featured on each cover)! So far, the reveals and sneak peeks that have been shared for the comic book covers have been met with some awesome hype. Here are some key points of note regarding the Airdrop:

• Eligible community members will receive a chance to win a limited edition Tribe comic book cover NFT.
• You must have held your 0xApe during the reveal window to be eligible.
• 1 x 0xApe held = 1 entry, into the randomly airdropped Tribe Comic Book NFT Event.

19: The Exodus is a limited edition, standalone collection, and is a mere glimpse into the lore to come…

The Mint + Claim

The Tribe festivities kicked off with the public mint which was closely followed by the long-awaited claim period. All reports and feedback we have received suggest that both processes were smooth and efficient with any minor issues being reported to the team and resolved quickly!

The initial mint window was closed to allow the community to begin claiming their Tribe counterparts. Considering a number of factors such as the current market conditions, and what seems to be a bit of a crypto-winter being upon us, we feel that the initial mint period, although not selling out, was actually quite successful. We thank all our amazing community members and those that are new to the project for taking part and spreading the word!

We couldn’t be happier to see so many have already claimed their Tribe counterparts! We are super stoked to see that a large majority have already proceeded to claim their new, bad ass, Tribe NFT’s with that number rising every day! We understand that although some community members had expressed their disappointment with not having ample time to mint during it’s first opening, we were pleased that you have secured your claim and know that you are all itching to see the Tribe versions of your 0xApes in all their glory!

We would like to remind the community that the claim period is ongoing and indefinite and if you are a new member who is looking to buy an 0xApe, we remind you that the claims section of our website allows you to identify whether your new 0xApe has had its Tribe version claimed by simple typing in the 0xApes ID#.

Outcasts?

Shamans would whisper into the ears of Kings, feeding rumors about the existence of a number of outcast 1/1 Tribe NFT’s. Several astute observers were able to sift through the sprinkles of bad-assery amongst the sneak peeks and piece together that some of these pieces were indeed no ordinary furs! We can officially confirm that this is the case! 1/1’s do exist amongst the 3384 Tribe that are available to mint.

Tribe Sales Bot Intro

For fans of the bot going brrrr…. The 0xApes Sales Bot on twitter also had the opportunity to drink the banana brew. The sweet scent proved too much for our beloved bot, eventually succumbing to its power. Bot now has its own Tribe counterpart in the twittersphere, you can find it here…

Merch Update

Merch design is well underway with some of the brightest and most coveted designers on the planet. Team connections mean we have managed to get designers from very highly sought after companies to help us create the creme-de-la-creme of merchandise collections.

Of course, we will be looking at nothing but the highest quality in designs for both 0xApes and Tribe Odyssey collections.

Tribe Takeover Nashville Meetup

A huge thank you to the 0xApes community members who attended the #TRIBETAKEOVER Nashville IRL event on the last weekend of July! We hope that every single one of you had an absolute kick ass time and all reports suggest that it was an amazing outing in the Music City!

We wanted to ensure that those able to attend would be celebrating the launch of Tribe in style and it looks like community super star @leighespy absolutely delivered pulling out all the stops! There was live music, tours, tastings, gifts, giveaways and more organized for our 0xApes family in what went down as an epic weekend to remember!

A huge congratulations to @LOkree for winning this custom 0xApes guitar donated by @keph_art! The prize couldn’t have been more appropriate for an IRL meetup in the Music City!
