The 888 Inner Artist Initiative — September 2023 Update
After our incredible Gallery event in Barcelona last month (again, a big thank you to Mrs. Toolip Art Gallery for the incredible experience that you provided us), we tried to get back to our normal routine. Alas, it was not meant to be.
Changes are coming to the 888 Inner Artist Initiative.
Due to an increasing (and amazing) level of community participation from our artists, the IAI Team has determined that our previous curation procedures are no longer sustainable. Over the past month, we’ve had many conversations in our artist-gated Verified Artist Chat to gauge the opinions of artists. As we’ve often said, we’re not just building the 888 Inner Artist Initiative for artists, we are building the 888 Inner Artist Initiative with artists.
Now that the one year anniversary of the 888 Inner Artist Initiative has concluded, we are looking ahead to the next year. In addition to changes in our curation policy, we are also using this opportunity to reimagine and revamp many other things we do at the 888 Inner Artist Initiative. As such, the 888 Inner Artist Initiative is currently “under construction.” When we say “under construction” we mean that the team will be retooling some of the processes behind the scenes to streamline and position for 2024. We will not stop purchasing art every week from our amazing artist community.
To assist us in the construction, one significant action that we took this past month was adding a brand new IAI Team member to help us plan for the future. More information about other coming changes will be released in the near future.
Buying the Art from Barcelona
The Foundation World that we created for our Barcelona artists is still open, though we plan to close it soon. Now would be a great opportunity to explore the pieces created by our amazing Verified Inner Artists.

Our goal is to meet the various needs of various artists, in a wide variety of ways, wherever they may be on their artistic journey.
