The One Problem Google and Medium are not meant to solve!

Following the First post few days ago, I had very useful discussions with friends and people who have filled in the survey. One of the questions which have been repeated many times was:

How is that different from searching on Google?!

Well no comparison at all!

To make it clear, the solution we are proposing here is not intended to be used to tackle daily technical challenges or answer people’s queries. When you visit Google , Quora or StackOverFlow, you have a specific problem/question which you are seeking help to solve/answer. On the other side, the platform we are building is meant to open your eyes to new areas which you have no idea about them before. It exists for people who want to “Discover”, who want to unveil the veiled, who really care about what they could be missing and what could put them ahead of the game!

People who are delighted by the moment they receive top quality fresh content in their field. All what you need to use the platform is a field of interest, and a desire to learn something new everyday. That’s it!

Another question from multiple persons:

How is that different from Medium?!

Medium in short wanted to make it simple/quick to write, very beautifully and elegantly designed to make it easier to read and finally creating a network on top of that. It is the next era of blogging. It definitely made a huge difference but again our platform is totally different because:

  1. Medium is only for Articles, however, our platform will cover all sources of knowledge: Courses, Events, Books, Podcasts, Papers and Videos.
  2. Medium’s main advantage is quality; it attracts quality writers and readers BUT this can’t be preserved forever as you can still find low quality and copied content in different topics.
  3. Medium is not about “Knowledge Discovery”, Medium is about “Publishing” and the difference is obvious!
  4. It is very hard in Medium to follow specific topic or field of interest. You have to keep following different topics or top quality writers, and you have to keep doing that frequently and continuously.
  5. Medium is a Network or Community -as stated on the home page- and not yet a “Platform”.

Now you have read that, if you feel interested even more in this solution, please add your input in the survey and wait for upcoming news and surprises!

We believe that something you learn today may help shift your career in the near and far future, these things are what make changes to the humanity and such information is too invaluable not to be shared.
