Jazmine, 15

What does Jazmine think of the Fair? “It’s just fun. I just like the rides and food, that’s it,” she says.

Decoda, 16

Decoda has been to the Fair every year since she was five, she thinks. “My favorite ride is The Apollo, too. And it’s fun walking around with your friends.”

Amethist, 16

What does Amethist like about the Fair? “Everything, yeah, everything.”

Favorite Food: Elephant Ears

Best Fair Memory: Making a family outing with grandma, grandpa, aunt, uncle and cousins.

Dennis Weathers and Shaniya

Dennis Weathers has been coming to the Fair off and on for 25 years.

One of his fondest memories of the Fair was about 20 years ago when he and his family camped out at the Fair in tents.

What keeps him coming back to the Fair? Bringing his kid. But also a few other things.

“The vegetables and to see the garden and the big grows.”

Shaniya has been to the Fair five times so far.

Her best Fair memory was the time she came to the Fair with her cousins and her aunt.

“I like to go on rides and stuff and check out all the clothes and jewelry,” she says. “And I like to see the horses.”

What would Shaniya say to someone to convince them to come to the Fair?

“There’s a lot of good food, and a lot of fun rides, and fun games — and it’s fun to spend time with your family.”
