Come and find out about the Coexist bid to buy Hamilton House
If you’ve been keeping up with what’s been happening down here at Hamilton House, you might have heard that last week was kind of a big week for us. After a mammoth amount of planning/writing/phoning/not sleeping, the team who have been focused on trying to secure the building finally submitted our bid to buy Hamilton House from our landlords and long-term partners Connolly & Callaghan (C&C).
So what happens next? After letting out a big sigh of relief, we’ve had to move swiftly on to the next step: on Friday, members of Coexist will be meeting with members of C&C to discuss the next move. As large business decisions don’t usually happen overnight, we’re not expecting an immediate response, but are hoping that this conversation will give us a clearer idea of any conditions we might need to fulfill to secure the bid, and to give us a better idea of a final timeline going forward.
But while we’re talking to C&C, we also want to talk to you. Next Thursday, running for a week, we’ll be hosting a public exhibition showcasing some of the key information (and artwork!) from the bid. You’ll be able to come down and hear directly from those involved in writing the document, find out more about how we’d like to transform the building and how this would positively impact Stokes Croft, see some beautiful prints, illustrations and animations, and even get a tour of the building.
