Announcing the launch of the DGX 2.0

Account registration and KYC starts 26 March 2018

We announce that the Digix Whitelisting for marketplace purchases is officially open for the registration of new accounts, starting today, 26 March 2018, from 2pm (SGT). Users will have to register for accounts in order to purchase DGX 2.0 off the marketplace.

Note that users can only register for an account and submit information for the KYC at this point. Users will not be able to buy DGX now.

DGX will be live for purchase from 8 April 2018.

*Note for US, Chinese and Japanese citizens from our community

Due to the regulatory climates in the US, China and Japan, we are unable to make DGX available for users of these citizenships at this point in time.

We are legally advised to proceed with regulatory and business caution amidst the uncertainty in these jurisdictions. While we await further regulatory clarity in these markets, we will continue to allow DGX to be made available for purchase by other users from other markets.

We will explore options to engage these markets when there is legal clarity from these regions. We remain with the vision of allowing global public access to DGX as soon as possible.

For retail buyers

You can head over to our marketplace to register for a new account with your email address. Upon registering, you will receive a verification email from us.

Once you verify your email address and register for a 2FA via Google Authenticator or Authy, you can proceed to begin the KYC process.

Please have the following documents ready for KYC registration:

Scanned passport or a National Identification card (we will reject documents that have expired or have less than 6 months’ validity)
Proof of residence (scanned documents such as bank statements or utility bills issued within 3 months)
An Ethereum wallet address (either a keystore or hardware wallet address)
Well lit room conditions for a Webcam Verification. If your machine does not support camera functions, you will be required to upload a photo of yourself.

Note that you will only be able to purchase DGX from our marketplace as long as you have been approved at this KYC stage from 8 April 2018.

We are currently allowing users to purchase up to 10 DGX per day with ETH after KYC approval.

For corporate partners or bulk purchases

If you are a corporate buyer or are looking to do large volume purchases of DGX, or you wish to explore possible integrations of DGX tokens with your platform, please contact us separately.

Swapping of DGX 1.0 into DGX 2.0

For early existing owners of DGX 1.0, we will be swapping them for DGX 2.0 tokens on April 8 as well. Existing owners of DGX 1.0 will receive DGX 2.0 into the same wallets which they have stored DGX 1.0 in.

DGX 1.0 has been last moved on Block number 4369452 which was approximately 160 Days ago, as such, the snapshot block has already been set to send DGX 2.0 to any DGX 1.0 holders. Do not move your DGX 1.0 at this moment until you receive DGX 2.0 on April 8.

If you have executed your wallet migration last year according to our blog post in November 2016, you would not have to do anything.

For those who are still holding an old .json file storing DGX 1.0, the migration page will once again be available end of this week.

Sale of the mainnet DGX starts from 8 April 2018!

Digix Marketplace will be ready for sale of DGX tokens from 8 April 2018.

DGX/ETH availability on Kyber Network starting in 16 April 2018*

Over the past week, we have been working with Kyber’s tech development team alongside market makers on integrating DGX into their platform. More details / tutorial will be published closer to the date.

*(Update — 16 April: Following our original update released on 26 March expecting the integration of DGX/ETH into Kyber Network to have been completed by 16 April, there have been some delays. Both sides are currently working to iron out integration kinks to ensure a seamless and smooth product integration and user experience for users of both communities. Please rest assured we are looking to roll this out as soon as we can.)
