COO Kaikai Yang Serves as Keynote Speaker at Philippines Innovation Forum

MANILA, Philippines, Jun. 7, 2018 — Energo’s COO Kaikai Yang was a keynote speaker at REAP’s 1st Innovation Forum: Peer to Peer Energy Trading in the Philippines event. Hosted by the Renewable Energy Association of the Philippines (REAP) on June 7th, the forum centered around the use of blockchain technology in smart energy grids.

During the event, Yang discussed the integration of blockchain and emerging information technology in the energy sector, providing an explanation of how Energo Labs leverages blockchain in our microgrid-based clean energy solution.

Besides Yang, President of REAP Erel B. Narida also spoke at the event. As a 14-year veteran of the solar industry and the Founder of One Renewable, an organization that serves the under-electrified market through the development of social enterprises, Narida shared meaningful insight into the clean energy industry through his experiences.

Involvement in this forum closely follows other recent Energo activities in the Philippines, including a speaking event at the Blockchain Application and Economics Forum 2018, participation in the Building the Future of Energy with Startups seminar, and more. Manila is also the location of our successful proof-of-concept campus microgrid project at De La Salle University — Dasmarinas, a project we are currently working to further expand.
