Entity Celebrates Web3 Innovation at the Crypto Valley Conference
The global outreach tour rolls on! From June 1–2, Entity joined MultiversX, AshSwap, Knights of Cathena, DX25, and other top Web3 builders at the Crypto Valley Conference in Rotkreuz, Switzerland. Read on as we reveal our key takeaways from the event and what comes next for Entity!
Zug, Switzerland: a global hub for innovation
You probably know about Silicon Valley, but have you heard of Crypto Valley?
The name refers to the hotbed of Web3 pioneers based out of Switzerland due to the regulatory clarity of this picturesque European country. In particular, the Zug region is home to over a thousand blockchain companies with an overall valuation of up to $600 billion.
Zug is a highly fertile ground for launching Web3 startups, as this type of innovation cluster offers a range of benefits for enterprise growth as well as individual professional development.
Last week, these misty mountains welcomed thousands of guests from around the world for the 2023 Crypto Valley Conference. Entity’s founders at Istari Vision are members of the Crypto Valley Association, which has hosted this annual gathering since 2018.
This exciting event marked another stop on the MultiversX Global Outreach Tour, as they served as a top sponsor for the conference and also hosted a side event on June 1 in Heuboden.
Entity was there every step of the way, along with some of our closest partners from the DeFi and GameFi ecosystems.
Connecting & sharing knowledge
The two-day event featured a packed schedule, with June 1 titled ‘Masterclass Day’ and June 2 ‘Conference Day’.
Here are some of the most valuable insights gathered by Entity:
- AI is not just a passing trend for blockchain. There are tons of powerful use cases, such as analyzing and optimizing DAO processes
- Financial institutions are warming up to crypto and are ready to make significant investments once Web3 regulations are clear
- Blockchain technology is driving sustainable innovation from both crypto-native startups and established NGOs like UNICEF
MultiversX CEO Beniamin Mincu joined a panel titled ‘Unleashing Creativity Through Blockchain: AI, Metaverse, Gaming and NFTs’, where he dived into topics such as the exciting opportunities of AI and the potential of xPortal as a Web3 super app.
In addition to a range of insightful panels and presentations, the conference was also an excellent opportunity for networking and connecting with fellow builders.
The Entity Team took full advantage of both aspects by leveling up their knowledge throughout the week while also finding new synergies and potential partnerships across the entire Web3 ecosystem.
All eyes on MVX
After the first day of the conference, MultiversX hosted a special side event to share their vision for the future of blockchain with the world.
A variety of builders joined this memorable evening from within the MultiversX ecosystem and beyond.
Some dedicated builders from outside the ecosystem were also in the house to learn more about this game-changing blockchain. For example, Duke Vu of Fungies joined the MultiversX event after winning 1st place in this year’s Crypto Valley Startup Competition for his project’s next-generation GameFi solutions.
In addition to members of Entity’s core team such as CEO Wolfgang Rückerl, several of our partners also had a productive week in Switzerland.
GameFi founder Lukas Anetsberger of Knights of Cathena was in attendance along with DeFi leaders such as AshSwap CEO Neil Nguyen and DX25’s business development specialist Mark Sugden.
Hypergrowth begins
Overall, the 2023 Crypto Valley Conference was a great opportunity to showcase the power of Entity and MultiversX to some key players from the broader Web3 world.
The last day of the event wrapped up with a stunning boat tour, but this was not all for the MVX community.
As an exclamation point to this action-packed week in the alps, Beniamin Mincu delivered a thrilling set of updates about MultiversX in a town hall presentation broadcast on Friday evening.

Titled ‘More Than Currency: Blockchain as a Truth Machine’, Beniamin unveiled plans to kickstart adoption of MVX, support the developer ecosystem, expand the power of tools like xMoney and xFabric, and leverage groundbreaking technology like zero-knowledge proofs and AI in new and innovative ways.

The outreach tour continues
Next up for MultiversX, they will travel to Italy on June 7 for Metaforum in Milan where they will host an official side event. Then, Beniamin Mincu will join Proof of Talk in Paris on June 14–15.
