Last Saturday, Entity hosted a major online event to celebrate Web3 innovation and fire up the community. Users from all over the world joined the Builders Forum to connect, gather knowledge, and win some exciting on-chain prizes. Read on for all of the highlights and key takeaways!

Uplifting the builder community

Despite being the most scalable and powerful layer one blockchain in the world, MultiversX depends on ecosystem builders to unlock its full potential.

That’s why supporting Web3 startups is part of our core mission here at Entity. And that’s why we hosted 18 Project Dialogues over the past few months to showcase innovators from DeFi, GameFi, and beyond.

The Builders Forum highlighted ecosystem startups from the Entity Project Dialogues

To put an exclamation point on this next-level interview series, Entity hosted the Builders Forum last weekend to ignite the MultiversX ecosystem.

The Builders Forum was a groundbreaking online conference that brought together some of the most relentless Web3 builders to share insights, strengthen bonds, and make new connections.

This action-packed event was all about delivering value to the community in the form of education, alpha, and on-chain prizes. Let’s dive into some of the most useful takeaways from the Builders Forum!

The future is bright

The event kicked off on June 10 with a next-level discussion about Innovation, Adaptation and the Web3 Paradigm Shift.

The first Builders Forum was all about pushing the limits of Web3

This first panel united blockchain professionals from MultiversX as well as the broader Web3 ecosystem to discuss lessons learned from the bear market, how to recognize real innovation, and how to maintain the freedom and decentralization of crypto in light of new regulations.

A highlight of the innovation panel was when Grigore Rosu explained why his company, Runtime Verification, decided to invest in the upcoming xLaunchpad project Hatom Protocol. Overall, Grigore was drawn to the team’s high quality of work and his belief in lending and borrowing protocols as essential to DeFi growth.

Beniamin Mincu had an inspiring message for the global Web3 community

Then, MultiversX CEO Beniamin Mincu gave some special remarks about the importance of community and how we can all work together to achieve mass adoption.

“At the end of the day, a blockchain network is not about one team or one builder, but it is about one community that can put efforts together and can make something that becomes unstoppable.”

Beniamin Mincu • MultiversX CEO

To make MultiversX’s hypergrowth phase as successful as possible, it’s clear that builders and everyday users from the ecosystem must all come together and match the intensity of Beniamin and his team.

It’s time to build

The second panel of the day was titled DeFi, Payments & Data: Building a Decentralized Future. This lively discussion touched on trending issues like the role of CBDCs, decentralizing the world of data, and disrupting the dominance of traditional finance.

With leaders from xMoney, ZoidPay, DX25, Itheum and Hatom Protocol on the panel, this discussion brought plenty of next-level insights about the state of DeFi and where this space is headed. Overall, it appears mass adoption of decentralized finance could be coming sooner than expected.

Knights of Cathena delivered a keynote speech about their next-generation Web3 game

Before the final panel, Knights of Cathena CEO Lukas Anetsberger gave a special presentation called Web3 Gaming Unleashed: Knights of Cathena as a Game Changer.

As a special treat for the Builders Forum audience, Lukas debuted a brand new video about the lore of Altea, which is the fantasy universe where KoC takes place. The KoC founder also shared his strategy for continuing to onboard new players and grow the project, before dropping hints that KoC’s Epic Games launch is only the beginning.

Are you ready for Entity?

Michael Stephen, Entity Product Owner, took the stage next for an exciting Live Demo of Entity’s current features and upcoming modules.

This presentation highlighted how Entity already supports MultiversX builders and investors in several ways with valuable tools such as the Project Monitor, Staking Provider Metrics, Delegation Metrics, Portfolio and Tax Tools.

The Entity Launchpad, LDM and Staking Farms will all go live soon on MVX mainnet

Michael also provided the Builders Forum audience with some new information about what the Entity developers are currently working on. With the Launchpad fully prepared to go live, the LDM and Staking Farms will launch shortly after in the coming months.

Together, these powerful tools will bring a new level of on-chain power to Entity. Stay tuned!

The Web3 gaming revolution

After the Entity Live Demo, it was time for the final panel of the day.

GameFi & NFTs: Driving Blockchain Mass Adoption was a fascinating deep dive into the evolving world of blockchain gaming and how this vertical is positioned to catalyze Web3 mass adoption.

Gnogen, KoC, Aquaverse, Cyberpunk City and Vampire Wars joined the GameFi panel

This highly engaging conversation covered a range of topics about Web3 gaming and NFTs, such as the impact of new innovations, onboarding new users, and the best ways to bridge the gap between Web2 gamers and crypto.

A common theme throughout the talk was the importance of creating a seamless user experience with minimal barriers to entry in order to attract new gamers to the Web3 world.

“The Entity Builders Forum was a powerful celebration of Web3 innovators and the global MultiversX community. As the partnership between Knights of Cathena and Entity continues to expand, I’m excited to push for mass adoption using games as the ultimate medium to achieve it.”

Lukas Anetsberger • Knights of Cathena CEO

With massive potential as an avenue for blockchain adoption, the panelists all agreed that MultiversX is a great foundation for builders to take GameFi to the next level.

Major announcements from Entity

As this day-long event began to wind down, the spotlight was on Entity CEO Wolfgang Rückerl to deliver some new strategic information about Entity — Growth Engine for Web3.

The Entity Announcements section lived up to the hype, as Wolfgang gave a range of updates about the Launchpad, Entity Roadmap, and more.

Entity debuted an updated 2023–24 roadmap

The new roadmap, as pictured above, provides the latest timeline for upcoming milestones like the LDM launch and Litepaper release.

The roadmap also marked the debut of a few new modules that had not yet been discussed publicly. The Yield Optimizer & Synthetization module is focused on making MultiversX DeFi primed for mass adoption through automated vaults and tokenized yields that will streamline the investment process for all users.

Plus, Entity will also release advanced analytics and aggregation tools for DeFi and NFTs early in 2024. These next-level modules will help investors make smarter, data-driven decisions across a range of key Web3 areas, so stay tuned for more info.

Want to launch on Entity? Wolfgang explained the Launchpad’s key selection criteria

And of course, the Builders Forum audience was also eager to hear about the first Entity Launchpad projects. During his strategic presentation, Wolfgang confirmed that multiple projects are confirmed to launch on Entity in the very near future. Of the first two launches, one startup is focused on DeFi and the other is specialized in Web3 Gaming.

“Our goal is to help builders overcome these challenges by delivering an all-in-one ecosystem growth platform.”

Wolfgang Rückerl • Entity CEO

Finally, Wolfgang announced Entity will sponsor another MultiversX Community Event in Germany this year!

After the success of the Elrond Community Event in Regensburg last year, Entity will be back again to unite the MultiversX community from within Germany and beyond. Get ready to mark your calendar, as a date will be published shortly.

May the odds be in your favor

To wrap up the day, Entity Project Manager Radovan Kubani hosted the drawing for the Builders Forum Lottery — an electrifying giveaway designed to give back to the community.

Thank you to all the teams who supported the Builders Forum Lottery!

15 generous projects contributed NFTs, SFTs and ESDT tokens to this thrilling on-chain lottery. Each participant who signed up for the event was able to visit Entity.global and get a free lottery ticket connected to their MultiversX wallet. Radovan then selected the winners live during the conference with the support of ChatGPT.

To check whether you won a prize, click here and look for your ticket number in the spreadsheet. All prizes have now been distributed, so congratulations again to all the lucky winners!

While a Battle of Hype was also planned for June 10, this contest was unfortunately postponed due to recent changes from the Twitter API system. However, please stay tuned for more updates about this competition.

Connecting with the community

After a busy day of Web3 presentations and activities, it was time to kick back and connect with other community members. During the Builders Spaces, attendees could virtually network with a range of MultiversX projects in breakout rooms.

The Builders Forum was well-received by projects and users alike in the community

Hundreds of community members stuck around until the end of the event to take advantage of these spaces by meeting some of their favorite builders and expanding their networks. As a special guest, new MultiversX startup VortX Finance also hosted a breakout room to introduce users to their upcoming DeFi project.

Overall, connecting projects and enthusiasts was the perfect way to cap off a successful event. Although the MultiversX ecosystem is entering its own hypergrowth phase, remember — we are still early!
