Roadmap: Building the Internet of Energy Network
The Journey Continues!
The vision for IOEN started 3 years ago, with the early concepts of it shared in a talk by Adam Bumpus at the Melbourne innovation festival Pausefest in 2019.
Now that the IDO is complete, the IOEN token is out in the wild and the mission is truly underway. If you’ve been following us closely you’ll know that we’ve already dived right into Phase 1 of the roadmap, launching our up to 100% APY staking mechanism at https://ido.ioen.tech/.
The next stages of our development will follow a three-phased approach, as detailed in the graphic below. Our macro strategy is to establish our community and the foundations of our token. In order to grow this rapidly, IOEN will be bootstrapping the network by building out core foundational pieces of the IOEN technology stack and allocating tokens to be distributed to early users of these technologies. Once the technical infrastructure is in place, the focus will shift towards ecosystem services that contribute towards macro clean energy benefits, as outlined in our currency paper.

The phases that we have outlined in our roadmap are:
- Phase One: Establishment
- Phase Two: Bootstrapping the Network
- Phase Three: IOEN Ecosystem Services
In the coming weeks, we will go into detail on each of these sections, outlining the details of the items listed in each layer.
An IDO launch is an amazing moment, but what gets us more excited is rolling up our sleeves and getting into the deep work of building disruptive energy technology. We look forward to continuing to share the journey with you.
